Whitney Confirms Season 2 Return To 'The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives': 'About To Get Wild'

While many were speculating that Whitney Leavitt would be returning for season 2 of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," there was no indication of whether that would happen or not...until Friday.

Leavitt, who many called the "villain" of season 1, took to TikTok on Friday to let fans know she's coming back!

While it came as no surprise to fans of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" that a second season was loading, many were shocked to see two of the MomTok moms missing from all the announcement videos on TikTok.

One of the missing moms is Leavitt, who was called the "villain" of season 1 by many viewers. Lots of fans dropped into the comment sections of the MomTok girlies videos to share their thoughts on Leavitt not being in the videos and wondering how season 2 would go without her. But after Leavitt shared her own video on Friday, it seems those concerns are now null and void.

In a video captioned, "I think season 2 is about to get wild," Leavitt eases the fears of her not returning for the hit Hulu show's second season.

Leavitt's recent TikTok video is straight to the point - she's coming back!

After the voice over says, "What would happen if you just called Taylor up and just say what? Just, you know, what happened?" Leavitt is then seen texting the MomTok chat group. At the top of the text, Taylor wrote, "Hey guys added Whit back to the chat!"

Leavitt is seen responding, "Excited to film season 2 with all of you. I know there's tough conversations ahead but I look forward to our journey together."

Her video quickly went viral with 1.6 million views and more than 1,000 comments.

"We always knew she’d be back. The show needs a villain and she makes great tv," one person wrote. Another added, "Thank goddddd! MomTok won’t survive without you!"

"The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" took Hulu by storm with season 1 in early September and it's looking like season 2 will continue the hype and drama that fans love.

The show follows the lives of a group of Utah Mormon moms - Taylor Frankie Paul, Layla Taylor, Demi Emngemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Whitney Leavitt, and Jennifer Affleck.

In the season 2 TikTok video announcements, fans noticed that both Leavitt and Affleck were nowhere to be found. Now that Leavitt has spoken up and confirmed her return, many are wondering if it's only a matter of time until Affleck does the same.

In addition to Leavitt's absence in the season 2 announcement videos, Affleck was also missing. She took to TikTok about a week before the second season news dropped to share a video captioned, "Stay tuned...#season2." So does that mean there's hope that she will return?

PEOPLE recently reported that a source told them that Affleck is back in Utah at the moment, but it's still unclear if she is filming or participating in season 2 of the hit reality series.

Season 1 viewers might recall in the finale when arrows were pointing in the direction of Affleck leaving MomTok for good.

Affleck called Ngatikaura and shared that she's leaving MomTok, and why.

"Jen called me and she goes, like, 'I just wanted to tell you my version of things and what's going on,'" Ngatikaura told Engemann on the show. "Jen told me that she's leaving MomTok because of Zac [Affleck's husband]. He doesn't want her associated with us. I am really sad that this is just a continuous pattern that's not getting better."

The Secret Lives on Hulu's Instagram page shared the news that "Prayers answered!" a few days ago, and fans shared their excitement in the comment section.

"The best news I’ve received all day," one person wrote. Another added, "We essentially online-bullied season 2 into existence." One other fan shared, "Can we just get like an ongoing show with weekly new episodes…. Forever?? because that would be perfect!"

Season 1 of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" is currently streaming on Hulu. Season 2 will be released spring 2025.
