Actor Rajiv Surendra has won over film fans for two decades as "Kevin G.," the determined and self-assured rapping mathlete in 2004's "Mean Girls."

The film, starring Lindsay Lohan and written by Tina Fey, has garnered a cult following since its release 20 years ago, and its influence on popular culture is vast and has no limit; perhaps the limit does not exist?

The film has popularized, and given new meaning to everything from the color pink to the date of October 3rd. On 'Mean Girls Day," Surendra is taking a look back at his character and pondering his future.

Rajiv Surendra Still Has Love For His Signature Character

Some actors may not want anything to do with the signature characters that made them famous decades ago. Surendra clearly isn't feeling any Kevin G.-related fatigue!

The comedian persuaded Kevin G. to stop working on his iconic raps for a bit, in his latest social media post. Surendra commemorated October 3rd's unofficially official "Mean Girls Day" with an Instagram post, where he shows off Kevin G.'s favorite drink of the moment in a sponsored post.

"Keep giving zero sugars everybody," Surendra says as Kevin G., before taking a drink and wishing fans a happy Mean Girls Day.

The actor incorporates one of Kevin G.'s signature winks at the ad's end!

'Kevin G.' Provides A Gift That Keeps On Giving

Although Lohan's character, Cady Heron, initially wanted nothing to do with the pesky Kevin G., even the prom queen was won over by his charms!

Cady Heron certainly isn't the only one to be charmed by the M.C.: Surendra understands what a lasting impact his character has had on two decades of moviegoers.

Speaking to People Magazine, the comedian discussed his signature character's influence, as shared with him with decades of 'fetch' "Mean Girls" viewers.

"I think as a teenager to have wanted to be in movies and for me to have been given one chance — like, I haven't been in any movies since — the fact that I was in one thing that has lasted 20 years, every time someone stops me they smile, that is the most rewarding thing that I could have received from being part of this movie," Surendra explained.

Rajiv Surendra Knows Who Kevin G. Had The Hots For

Kevin G. did not care how he was perceived in "Mean Girls," a trait not shared by many of the film's other legendary characters!

His "everyman" tendencies kept Kevin G. from excluding anyone from his radar; he even had room for Cady when her 'Plastics' persona cost her everyone around.

Kevin G. gravitated toward Janis (Lizzy Caplan), Cady's gothic pal, toward the end of the film. The duo spent the highly anticipated Spring Fling dance together. The duo exuded sweet chemistry as they danced the night away!

Kevin G.'s counterpart reflected on their romance to the publication and shared his thoughts on the pair's future: would it be as strong as Cady's and the film's heartthrob, Aaron Samuels?

"I think Kevin secretly wanted Aaron Samuels, but he wasn't allowed to say. And today, he would be allowed to reveal his feelings to Aaron Samuels, and then Aaron Samuels was also secretly gay," Surendra said. Jonathan Bennett, who brought Aaron alive on screen, is a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Surendra is also openly gay, himself, the publication also reports.

Cady Heron's bestie, Damien, was heavily implied to be gay in the film, but his sexuality was never explicitly confirmed. Daniel Franzese, who brought Damien to life, is also gay.

The film's remake, starring singer Reneè Rapp as Regina George, includes a much more progressive outlook for its characters. Janis Ian (Auli'i Cravalho) is openly gay.

Surendra's Signature Character Lives On

The actor's relationship with "Mean Girls" has never faltered. Kevin G.'s influence on Surendra's life lives on, and he chronicles his influence and shows the rapping mathlete's spirit, on his Instagram feed!

On January 9th of this year, Surendra shared a snap of himself sharing the pink carpet at a "Mean Girls" event, alongside fellow mathlete, Wai Choy.

Donning their Northshore High mathlete jackets, Surendra shared details of his real-life friendship with Surendra.

"20 years ago @thewaichoy and I met on the set of @meangirls to play the roles of mathletes. We met again ten years later when I moved to New York, where Wai also lived. He’s now a dear friend and also a very fancy entertainment lawyer here, generously advising me on many of my creative endeavors. The actor wrote, " the mathletes strike again!" he said, ending his post with two heart emojis in Northshore colors!

Rajiv Surendra's Castmate Wants A Sequel

The candle for "Mean Girls" continues to burn bright!

The franchise's remake was given a musical spin earlier this year, (and has also spawned a musical before!), and according to one original cast member, the desire for a remake featuring the OG cast members, sounds interesting to our fave stars.

Franzese has been vocal about a potential "Mean Girls" sequel featuring the original film's cast members.

As The Blast previously reported, the original "Mean Girls" crew still stays connected!

"We all talk when we can," Franzese revealed to People. "It's very difficult. We were all really busy, but I love them also." The comedian also revealed that a possible sequel is something the cast "all wants."

"You got to tell the boss lady [Tina Fey] over there. I'm sure [she's] heard it a million times, but she's the gatekeeper, so we're all waiting."

"Mean Girls: The Musical" features a cameo from Fey, and Tim Meadows, who returned to play Northshore's no-nonsense principal, Mr. Duvall.
