Hilary Swank has officially added runway model to her impressive resume.

On Tuesday, October 1, the 50-year-old Oscar-winning actress took to the catwalk for the first time, debuting in Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2025 collection during Paris Fashion Week.

At 50 years old, Swank defied age with her stunning presence as she gracefully walked down the runway.

In a video captured by Vogue, Swank showcased a chic look in a brown trench coat adorned with layered belts, paired with bubblegum pink slip-on leather sandals.

Her brown hair, featuring honey highlights, was elegantly styled in a loose half-up, half-down fashion, complementing her effortless makeup.

Unfortunately for Swank, she didn't exactly receive positive comments as many claimed she looked "uncomfortable" and "awkward."

"I love Hillary Swank but the show made her look so un-swanky. Perhaps it was the footwear. Idk. I’m sorry…" one Instagram user said.

"Hilary Swank looks out of her comfort zone though," another wrote.

What Did Hilary Swank Wear On The Runway?

Swank opted for a minimal makeup look, showcasing only foundation, blush, and lip balm, reminiscent of the "raw, no makeup" aesthetic famously embraced by 57-year-old model Pamela Anderson.

The star-studded event also showcased the talents of Willem Dafoe, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne, and Sunday Rose, the 16-year-old daughter of Nicole Kidman.

Delevingne made a striking entrance on the catwalk, donning a two-piece leather ensemble paired with a vibrant red zipped cardigan. The event, held at the Palais d'Iéna in the French capital, saw her sister Poppy show up as well, who looked stunning in a beige cropped top and mini skirt from Miu Miu as she arrived for the chic affair.

Swank's brand Mission Statement emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and authenticity. Launched in 2021, it focuses on creating high-quality, comfortable clothing that inspires individuals to embrace their true selves.

"I was really into the idea of creating sustainable clothing before that was the zeitgeist," she told Fashion Week Daily at the time. "It was about making things that were multifunctional and unparalleled in quality, while also ethically and responsibly made."

"This was something that I was looking for in my own life: clothing that I could wear pretty much anywhere that stood the test of time, so that I didn’t have to continue to buy another cashmere sweater because the one that I bought inexpensively or that had plastic in it (and wasn’t really cashmere!) was pilling," she continued.

Swank aims to empower people through fashion, encouraging them to pursue their dreams while promoting a sense of community and connection.

"I didn’t want to be a part of this crazy [consumerism]. I love to create, and I love to collaborate," she told Fashion Week Daily. "So for me it was really a fun venture into a new space that parallels the film industry in that you have a goal—and then you bring artisans and experts in to see it through."

When looking at the future, Swank said "Marci’s design team and Mission Statement’s design team are going to be introducing new lines of clothing together," while "will merge Mission Statement’s beautiful lines with Marci’s sustainable wizardry."

"I call her a sustainable wizard because she was doing this long before anyone was even talking about it!" she added.
