"Known to the world as Rich Homie Quan, Dequantes Devontay Lamar was a proud native of the great city of Atlanta, Georgia, and represented for the A as he and his music traveled across this globe," the statement continued, adding:

"While he leaves us with an undeniable hole in our hearts, we are comforted by knowing his music and triumphant spirit live on. Quan's legacy will forever be cemented as a soundtrack to our lives. And for this, we are grateful."

Quan's family concluded their message with tribute plans, revealing, "Celebration of life details will be shared soon. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support at this difficult time."

The truth behind Quan's death has not been revealed, with the Fulton County Medical Examiner confirming they had completed his autopsy in a statement. However, his cause of death remains unresolved.

The medical examiner explained that Quan's "cause and manner of death are pending the completion of laboratory studies and microscopic examination of tissue slides." Their statement came at the heels of a tribute from the rapper's girlfriend.

Quan's lover, Amber Williams, addressed his passing in an emotional post on her Instagram Stories. She expressed her grief, noting her pain was "unbearable" but remained grateful to fans for their condolences and well wishes.

While addressing his death, Williams reflected on the memory of discovering Quan's unresponsive body, writing: "I am traumatized from a moment that'll forever be in my head."
