Weeks before Diddy's arrest, Wayans had spoken about the rapper's bashes on Shannon Sharpe's popular podcast Club Shay Shay.

There, he made the claim that he had only attended a handful of those events and left early while also citing that he never saw any of the horrible things Diddy was being accused of.

Following the appearance, fans claimed he lied and pointed to an old tweet in which he raved about the music mogul parties.

The tweet read, "Been doin' Diddy parties for 15 years, and I must say you never let me down Puff. Ain't no party like a Diddy party. Good times. People!"

In response to the criticism, the comedian posted that he had no intention of retracting his earlier statement.

Despite Wayans' response, some fans still insisted that he was complicit in some of the alleged sordid activities at Diddy's home.

One wrote, "Nah….you knew. You were complicit," while another said, "Ok Pinocchio. You're trying way too hard, and nobody believes you. Did you get a free bottle of baby oil?"

A third wrote, "OK, so you didn't attend the 'freak off' parties. But, you were very-good friends w/ Diddy for 15 yrs….. You had to know something. 50 Cent and Katt Williams have some interesting things to say in regards. ANYONE that tries to cover up for Diddy, instead of condemning him is involved and guilty asf!"

Several others defended Wayans' claims, suggesting that Diddy likely invited the comedian to an ordinary party.

A user wrote, "This is what folks don't understand. Just because someone attended a Diddy party doesn't mean they were invited or a party of the AFTER AFTER party. There's a Diddy party, and then there's The Diddlers party."

Another individual commented, "Absolutely. Guys like him needed to host parties with celebrities and without shenanigans in order to have a legit cover."

While it might be difficult to ascertain Wayans' claims, he is not the only high-profile individual who has tried to distance themselves from Diddy following his sex crime allegations and charges.

A source for Leonardo DiCaprio recently told the Daily Mail that the actor had "absolutely nothing to do" with Diddy's "Freak Offs."

Ashton Kutcher also denied involvement in any of Diddy's allegations, despite a resurfaced video showing him saying that they shared a friendship.

An insider told People Magazine about Kutcher, "He doesn't belong in this conversation about Diddy. Ashton has only seen Diddy in a handful of social and business events, all of which have been documented by the media."

Several other celebrities, such as LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes, and Kim Kardashian, who were in Diddy's social circle, have since unfollowed him on social media.

It remains to be seen if any of the high-profile individuals Diddy was seen with in the past will be implicated in his trial. The rapper is currently being held in a detention facility in New York after being denied bail twice by different judges.

The next court date is October 9 for a status conference to discuss the case's progress. The outcome of the meeting will help determine a possible date for the jury selection process and the rapper's trial.

As the case continues to unfold, experts have speculated about Diddy's defense when the trial begins.

"They're going to attack the indictment. They're going to say there was no coercion," criminal defense lawyer Mark Eiglarsh said in a recent interview, per NewsNation. "It was voluntary. Everybody wanted to be there."

According to People Magazine, law enforcement sources have confirmed that Diddy is no longer on suicide watch and is being allowed visits from his loved ones.

The music producer, who was arrested on September 16, is being held at the MDC jail in Brooklyn after being denied bail twice for being a "danger" to society and a flight risk.

"He is focused and very strong," a lawyer for Combs told the news outlet. "He is concentrating on his defense and preparing for his trial.
