On Sunday, Usher's X account was shockingly wiped out, quickly raising eyebrows among social media users.

While the incident would not have caused much curiosity on a typical day, the fact that it happened after Diddy's highly publicized arrest changed everything.

Usher and Diddy have had a close, collaborative relationship since the '90s, and the latter reportedly produced the R&B singer's first album. With Diddy now facing sex crime charges and other sordid revelations surfacing, fans began speculating that the sudden wipe of Usher's X account might be linked to the rapper's ongoing legal troubles.

Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, recently disclosed that the rapper will be defending himself in his criminal trial.

The high-profile case, which has garnered widespread attention, marks a pivotal point for Diddy, as he faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Appearing on the TMZ documentary, "The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment," which was released on September 25, Agnifilo acknowledged that the move might be quite a gamble.

It will open Diddy up to being cross-examined and asked several shocking questions. However, Agnifilo believes that the Grammy winner is seemingly in the best position to defend himself in court.

According to the rapper's lawyer, Diddy has a heartfelt story of struggle to share when he takes the witness stand to defend himself.

"He has his story, and he has a story that I think only he can tell in the way he can tell it in real-time," Agnifilo said, per The Mirror. "And it's a human story. It's a story of, of, of love. It's a story of hurt. It's a story of heartbreak."

The lawyer continued, "I mean when he describes that relationship, the word he uses more than any other word is heartbreak. He was heartbroken; she was heartbroken."

If Diddy takes the stand, he would most likely face questions from prosecutors about the recent viral hotel surveillance clip that saw him physically assault his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura.

He may also be asked about his alleged drug-fueled orgies called "freak offs," as well as other sexual assault allegations that have been leveled against him recently.

Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in New York after his arrest on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Despite attempts by his legal team, the rapper has been denied bail twice and will remain in custody until his trial, for which no date has yet been set.

US Attorney Damian Williams of the Southern District of New York has indicated that additional charges could potentially be brought against the rapper.

"I can't take anything off the table. Anything is possible," Williams said, per CNN. He also mentioned that the Diddy investigation is "very active and ongoing" and that "developments are certainly foreseeable."

If convicted of racketeering, Diddy could face up to life in prison. Additionally, the sex trafficking charge carries a statutory minimum sentence of 15 years.
