Lindsay Lohan's Father Breaks Silence On Criminal Charges, 'I Should Be Applauded Not Arrested'

Lindsay Lohan's father is breaking his silence on allegations he took part in 'patient brokering' that landed him in a Florida jail, charged with multiple crimes.
Michael Lohan is adamant that he is an advocate for people struggling with addiction -- and has been helping people get into facilities for treatment for over 15 years. Plus, our sources say ML believes these criminal charges stem from someone with "an ax to grind" against him and should have never been pursued.

"Michael Lohan has helped countless individuals suffering from addiction issues. Michael should be applauded for his efforts in saving lives-not arrested for them. Michael has devoted much of his life to helping those in need. This fact has been conveniently overlooked by the Palm Beach County State Attorney," Lohan's attorney said.
He continued, "According to the State Attorney, Michael is the 117th person arrested in Palm Beach County by the Sober Home Task Force. Michael is not a number, and he will not be reduced to one of the State Attorney’s statistics."

He continued, "Justice does not revolve around statistics, it revolves around the truth. The whole truth will come out when Michael has his day in court."
Our sources say, Michael is clear he has been helping people with addiction for over 15 years, especially when someone can't afford to get help. "No good deed goes unpunished," he said.
According to reports, Lohan was arrested for 'patient brokering'( in Palm Beach County, Florida. The actress's father was arrested on Friday and faces five patient brokering charges and one charge of conspiracy to commit patient brokering.

In the charging documents, Logan is accused of referring patients to a place called Pride Recovery for five months, starting in 2017. In all, they accuse him of cashing in on a total of $27,750.
According to one report, Lohan called one of the investigating officers after hearing from a patient's mother that his name came up. “Lohan advised he did marketing for Pride Recovery and he wanted to know how his name came up” and what they were investigating, the affidavit states.
Adding, “Lohan went on to elaborate how he has done a lot of work in the recovery industry and he would be more than willing to meet."
