Cheryl Burke is trending online again, but it’s definitely not for what you think. The “Dancing With The Stars” alum has or orchestrated a profound apology to someone she may have hurt a few years back. 

Burke’s presence on the show has had an amazing impact, especially because she was the first female dancer to ever win, an twice consecutively.

However, that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t been involved in several issues over the years. 23 seasons with the show, is enough time to get on everybody’ s never he’s.

Who’s Cheryl Burke?

She was born in San Mateo County, California U.S. on May 3, 1984. During the second second season of “DWTS,” she emerged as the winner alongside Drew Lachey.

During the third season, Burke decided to have another go on the show again took home the championship title.

In the next season, which took place in 2007, she decided to team up with Ian Ziering. The duo had a good run on the show, but were later sent home in the semi finals.

Burke was quite vocal about her disappointment with not winning that she slammed her partner Ziering.

Who’s Ian Ziering

Ziering is popularly known as an American and voice-over actor. He became more prominent when he played the role of Steve Sanders in “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

This show ran from 1990 to 2000, after which, the actor landed some voice acting gigs.

Ziering also worked on TV series like “The Doctors,” “JAG,” and “What I Like About You.” However, in 2007, he saw a rare opportunity do something entirely different and took it.

He teamed up with professional dancer, Burke in 2007, for the fourth season of “DWTS,”

Burke’s Mistake

Burke was quite hurt that she did not win the show in the third run and took out her frustrations verbally on her partner.

She openly disclosed during a podcast appearance, that partnering with Ziering almost made her slit her wrists. This comment was very harsh and unnecessary, but the “90210” alum said nothing in retaliation.

Now, seeing how far she went the last time, Burke is determined to right her wrong with an apology to her former partner, who didn’t deserve what he got.

A Profound Apology

Speaking up on her podcast this time around, Burke revealed on “Pretty Messed Up,” that she owed Ziering an apology for what she said in 2007.

She went on to say that it’s the one thing she truly regrets and wished she could take back.

“... You know, I would say there’s no excuse, no matter what, if it was a joke or not,” the dancer explained.

After her third run on the show with Ziering, Burke remained a contender on “DWTS” for 20 more seasons.
