In March, "South Park" released an episode that seemed to poke fun at Lizzo. The hit TV show name-dropped the singer while talking about a character's desire to lose weight.

Taking to her TikTok and Instagram account, Lizzo responded gracefully to the issue, acknowledging that what it means to her is that her efforts to promote body positivity are not in vain.

"I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f-ck to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f-ck I am and put it in their cartoon that's been around for 25 years," she said.

"I showed you all how to not give a f-ck, and I'm going to keep on showing you how to not give a f-ck," Lizzo added.

The Singer Announced She Is 'Taking A Gap Year'

Lizzo recently announced on Instagram that she is "taking a gap year," adding that she also intends to "protect her peace."

While she did not add any further clarification to her post, it is presumed that fans won't be getting any music or shows from her during her time away.

Alongside the announcement, the rapper posted a video of herself in a black one-piece swimsuit that snugly hugged her body.

In the video, she can be seen walking barefoot out to the wooden balcony of her room at what appears to be a resort in Bali.

Although it appeared to be raining, Lizzo didn't care as she stood on the balcony with her hands on the railing. At some point, she raised her hands while droplets of the rain fell gently onto her body.

Known for her body positivity lyrics and weight loss efforts, it came as a shock in August last year when three of Lizzo's former dancers accused her of fat shaming and sexual harassment.

The former backup dancers, Crystal Williams, Arianna Davis, and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a lawsuit claiming they were sexually harassed and were subjected to a hostile work environment while working with Lizzo.

According to the Daily Mail, the lawsuit mentioned that Lizzo fat-shamed one of them and forced another to engage in a raunchy activity with a nude performer in a strip club. They also claimed that she invited "cast members to take turns touching the nude performers" inside an Amsterdam strip club.

The "Rumors" crooner allegedly encouraged "catching dildos launched from the performers' v-ginas and eating bananas protruding from the performers' v-ginas."

Among other allegations are religious harassment, disability discrimination, racial harassment, and a hostile work environment.

Lizzo Has Vehemently Denied The Allegations

The singer has since responded to the allegations, branding them "too outrageous" while insisting that she was "not the villain" in this case.

"These last few days have been gut-wrenchingly difficult and overwhelming disappointing," she wrote on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. "My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed."

Lizzo shared that she sometimes "has to make hard decisions," but she did not intend to hurt anyone or make them feel unimportant.

"I'm hurt, but I will not let the good work I've done in the world be overshadowed by this. I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me up during this difficult time," the singer added.

Lizzo's former employees criticized her response for being "dismissive" and lacking "empathy."
