Meghan Markle was recently accused of being a "difficult" boss who mistreated her staff.
However, a source working with the Duchess of Sussex has debunked the rumors, describing the allegations as a "fabrication" and "total nonsense."
The timing of the allegations has also raised eyebrows from many quarters, with insiders claiming a disgruntled former employee might be spreading the claims about Meghan Markle.
Meghan Markle's Camp Dismisses 'Duchess Difficult' Label
According to GB News, insiders in the Archewell Foundation have debunked a recent report that raised eyebrows over Meghan's reputation and labeled her "Duchess difficult."
The source dismissed the claims, suggesting that Meghan and Prince Harry usually work from home and that the "Duchess difficult" moniker wasn't used.
"The duke and duchess work from Montecito, and we're based in Hollywood. They likely think we're all in the same office and that this quote would fly, but the circumstances don't even allow for it," the source shared.
"If she's 'marching around' and 'barking orders,' no Archewell employee could factually claim that... It's total nonsense," the insider explained.
Another source spoke about claims that the former "Suits" actress would often send 5 am emails to staff angrily.
They said, "I've never once ever gotten an email from either of them at that hour - and even if I did, the duchess specifically notes in her email signature that everyone has a different working day, and to not feel obligated to respond outside of normal business hours. These source quotes don't make any sense!"
The Duchess Was Accused Of Being 'Difficult' To Work With
The recent remarks from the Sussex insiders come after The Hollywood Reporter quoted a source alleging Meghan's staff are "terrified" of her and that she often throws "noisy tantrums."
The source shared that the Duchess of Sussex "marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders," with another adding, "I've watched her reduce grown men to tears."
"Everyone's terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn't take advice," they claimed.
"They're both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently," the source added. "Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he's very much an enabler. And she's just terrible."
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Were 'Deeply Concerned' By The Report
When the rumors first surfaced, Harry and Meghan were understood to be worried about it because of its timing.
The allegations surfaced as Harry was preparing to celebrate his 40th birthday, with the news outlet noting that the Sussexes are "deeply concerned over the timing" of the article.
"The Sussex team have had more than enough of these types of articles, it's simply not true," a source shared. "Everyone is deeply concerned over the timing of the article because it was published just days before Harry's birthday."
The source continued, "There are fears that there could be a disgruntled former member of staff who is putting out mistruths which are designed to make them look bad."
They added, "The focus for Camp Sussex now is to build on the success of the last year and to take that positive momentum forward into 2025 and beyond."
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Suffer Massive Staff Exodus
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex suffered a minor setback amid reports of an alleged exodus of their staff, which raised doubts about the couple's handling of employees.
According to People Magazine, Harry and Meghan's then-chief of Staff, Josh Kettler, left his position after three months, making him the 18th key employee the former working royals have lost.
Upon his employment, he was touted as the man to "guide Harry "through his next phase, but he left abruptly.
At the time, British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard reflected on the situation, saying that the high staff turnover means "something is wrong" somewhere in their camp, per Fox News.
"The sad thing is all these employees have been chosen carefully," Chard explained. "They have previously excelled working for demanding bosses in high-performing companies and environments. I can only believe that Harry and Meghan are tricky customers and make it near impossible for their staff to excel in their roles."
Meghan Markle Shared That She's Embracing A Chapter Of Joy In Her Life
During her recent trip to Colombia, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about embracing a "chapter of joy" in her life, noting that she is genuinely grateful for her experiences.
"I'm looking at this time as my chapter of joy," the duchess said, per Harper's Bazaar. "The more you are able to look at your life and really, truly recognize and be able to be grateful for your life - you have to be grateful for all aspects of it."
"My intentionality is to enjoy this chapter and be able to love through every piece of this as best we can," the 43-year-old royal added.
