Bruce's declining health first became known in March 2022 when his family took to social media to release a joint statement and announce that he was stepping away from his acting career.

At the time, they revealed he was diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that is known to affect the individual's ability to communicate, both in spoken and written language.

They wrote in their joint statement, "To Bruce's amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities."

Although the family did not initially disclose the cause of his aphasia, they announced in February 2023 that Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Since Bruce's health condition was revealed, he has rarely been seen in public, and when he is, he is often accompanied by either family or a hired caregiver.

He was last spotted a few days ago on a car ride in Los Angeles. During the ride, the 69-year-old had his window partially rolled down while sitting in the passenger seat.

He also wore a black New York Yankees cap and a white T-shirt, and his expression appeared emotionless.
