The ordeal at Joey Bosa's home comes at the heels of multiple break-ins in recent months. Former NFL star Reggie Bush was nearly burglarized days earlier but foiled the plot.

The drama at the Los Angeles Chargers linebacker's home reportedly occurred late Monday afternoon. A video from the incident captured multiple police officers storming the residence with their weapons drawn.

According to reports, the LAPD received a call about a possible burglary at Bosa's Los Angeles-area home around 5 p.m. Cops were alerted about the potential threat after the residence's security alarm went off.

Officers believed the suspects were inside Bosa's home when they stormed the place, which was why they entered with their guns drawn. However, a thorough sweep of the property revealed no burglars or forced signs of entry.

Baffled by the lack of a crime, TMZ shared that authorities obtained the home's surveillance video, which revealed the shocking reason behind the alarm.

After combing through the surveillance video, officers discovered the burglary threat was nothing more than an illusion. The security alarm appeared to have been triggered by a gust of wind.

Meanwhile, shadows made it seem like someone might have been inside the house. While the incident would make a good story for Bosa to laugh off with friends, other celebrities haven't been as lucky.

The rate of burglaries in Los Angeles has been increasing at an alarming rate, with former NFL player Reggie Bush nearly joining the list of victims. The Blast reported that he foiled the robbery attempt on his mansion days earlier.

The terrifying incident occurred on Tuesday, September 10, when three men attempted to invade Bush's home. The LAPD noted that someone heard a window shattering, and broken glass was found outside the property.

However, the suspects could not steal anything, thanks to Bush's quick response. His cries for help forced the men to flee the scene, and they were later spotted leaving the area, per authorities.

The former NFL player broke his silence about the incident days later, reassuring fans that "everyone is safe." The attempted robbery came months after Bush reclaimed his Heisman trophy following a 14-year battle.

Bush won the prestigious Heisman trophy at the peak of his college football career but lost it in 2010 following a scandal. An NCAA investigation revealed he had accepted benefits while at USC, clearly violating the rules.

Bush was forced to return the award, and it took 14 years of cries for change before the NCAA's new "Name, Image and Likeness" (NIL) policy was formulated. The law allowed college athletes to profit from their brand.
