Internationally acclaimed as one of the biggest actors in the past decades, Keanu Reeves remained humble to everyone, which got him even more accolades from fans.

The "Matrix" star has had his fair share of highs and lows in his career over the years, but he keeps pressing on.

The star is best known for his legendary character in the series, "John Wick." Impressed by his amiable demeanour, fans have gotten used to exchanging stories of when they met the actor.

One particular endearing account of a famous fan crossing paths with the actor was beautiful.

He moved between hits such as "Speed," "The Matrix," and "John Wick," as the 56-year-old had some lows when he couldn't hit another box office movie.

Open about his professional life, Reeves has emphasised that money was the least of the motivation behind the projects he chose to hitch his bandwagon too.

That seems to be a correct assessment of the actor's character. This is because he wouldn't have turned down the $12 million paydays for the 1997 movie "Speed 2: Cruise Control" making an appearance beside Sandra Bullock.

In 2003, Reeves did find his best movie choice and tapped into "The Matrix" making a back-to-back appearance in the sequels. This movie helped him rake in the biggest paycheck of his career as a result of the decision.

Despite his tremendous success as one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors, Reeves remained down to earth. A barrage of fan stories in 2019, unearthed just how deep the "John Wick" actor’s humility ran.

In a beautiful moment, author Rosie Waterland shared the story of when she met with the actor for the first time in her life.

The First Meeting

As per "Guardian," Waterland who worked at a movie theatre in Sydney, Australia was there to introduce the actor to the stage during the screening of his 2008 thriller "Street Kings."

She shared that contrary to the personality portrayed in his action movie characters, Reeves was truly a quiet and sweet person.

At the time of screening, just before he hopped on stage, Waterland said that the actor looked nervous. Before getting on stage, he turned to her and asked her to wish him good luck.

Flustered, the author reminded him that he wasn't going to need it.

A true humble actor oblivious to his own charms, Reeves continued the conversation before making his way to the stage, wowing everyone with his performance.

Seven years after the meeting, Waterland became a famous author through her first book, The Anti Cool Girl, which peaked as a bestseller in 2015. 

The author's account is only one of many circulating on the internet about the actor, who’s also gracious with his fans.
