In her interview, Selma Blair spoke on her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis, and how she has continued to strive for a sense of normalcy during the pandemic. One of the things that remains extremely important to the star is her glam, which she explains plays a big role on her psyche.

"It was a superpower to me, and I mean this. Makeup is not trivial to me. If anything moves the needle for me in my life—even before my diagnosis or challenges—it is my gorgeous war paint."

Selma Blair also spoke about the moment she showed up to the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar's Party with a cane to assist her in walking the red carpet. It was a big moment for the actress as it was one of her first public appearances

"It was a no-brainer, and there was no choice," Blair told the magazine.

She added, "I hadn’t been on a red carpet for so long, and now I was coming ... I knew, since my diagnosis, people might be watching. I didn’t know if I would be forgotten about and be the last one on the red carpet."
