Joey Fatone is fueling rumors among *NSYNC fans by sharing news about a possible reunion.

The boy band, which has been broken up since March 2002, announced its hiatus after releasing its third studio album, "Celebrity." While it never officially disbanded, the group has not released new music or toured together since then.

However, that may soon change, as Joey Fatone has spoken out about the status of a possible *NSYNC reunion.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, the former boy band member dropped some clues about what might be in store for the group. While he stopped short of confirming anything concrete, especially since all five singers’ have busy schedules, Fatone’s comments have fans hopeful about the potential return of *NSYNC.

“We haven’t had that conversation yet,"  Fatone revealed. “Justin [Timberlake] is finishing up his tour, I’ve been doing a bunch of things with AJ [McLean] from Backstreet Boys. So that’s been great.”

“Hopefully at some point when [Justin] is done with his tour, we’ll sit down and go, ‘What are we doing?’ and figure it out," the 47-year-old said. "I would love to have that conversation, whether yes or no — I just want to know. Just tell me so we can move on with our lives. Either say we had a good run and be done with it, or see what we can do.”

Joey Fatone expanded on the topic at a 90s Con panel with fellow boy band stars Trevor Penick, Dan Miller, Erik-Michael Estrada, and Jacob Underwood of O-Town, addressing whether *NSYNC might not only reunite but also release new music or embark on a tour—or perhaps both.

“Everybody has families and relationships now,” he said of the group. “It’s hard to get the five of us together and it’s a huge commitment.”

“However I will say the gears are in the right direction as far as the interest from everybody," Fatone followed up.

In July, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick made a memorable reunion on the red carpet at the premiere of "Deadpool & Wolverine." Their classic 2000 hit “Bye Bye Bye” made a splash this summer by featuring prominently in the film.

In addition to being on tour, Justin Timberlake has also been busy with his DWI case, in which he recently pleaded guilty.

He appeared at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Courthouse on Long Island, New York, with his attorney, Edward Burke Jr. last week. As part of a plea deal, Timberlake admitted to a noncriminal traffic violation for driving while impaired.

Judge Carl Irace, who had previously suspended Timberlake’s license, expressed dissatisfaction with the agreement and asked Timberlake if he would consider volunteering at a nonprofit of his choice.

“I’d be willing to,” the singer said, agreeing to 25 to 40 hours of community service. He also agreed to pay a fine.

Shortly after the hearing, Justin Timberlake spoke outside the courthouse, telling reporters, “This was not that. I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision."

"Even if you had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car," the "Bye Bye Bye" singer continued. "There’s so many alternatives. Call a friend, take an Uber. ... This was a mistake that I made, but I'm hoping that whoever's watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”

Justin Timberlake's attorney stated that the singer had consumed just one drink over a two-hour period at the American Hotel.
