After the debate, Donald Trump claimed he was unfazed by missing out on Taylor Swift’s support, claiming he was never a fan of hers in the first place.
As The Blast reported, Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris shortly after the debate concluded last week, and Trump has since been outspoken about his lack of interest in the pop star.
Now, in a new Truth Social post, Donald Trump is doubling down on his "hatred" for Taylor Swift.
Donald Trump Says He 'Hates' Taylor Swift In New Post
In a post shared on Truth Social on September 15, the former President voiced his feelings about the "22" singer.
"I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" he wrote.
His latest post comes after Taylor Swift endorsed his opponent on Instagram.
"Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most," Taylor wrote shortly after the debate ended. "As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country."
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," she continued. "I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them."
Brittany Mahomes Faces Backlash For 'Liking' Donald Trump Post
As The Blast previously reported, the former soccer star initially liked, and then quickly unliked, a post from the Republican candidate on August 13 about “The 2024 GOP Platform.”
Brittany Mahomes addressed the backlash during an appearance on the "WHOOP" podcast, revealing how her husband, Patrick Mahomes, has been a constant source of support as she navigates the highs and lows of fame and public scrutiny.
“I think the main thing that he always told me is like, ‘Stop caring about what people think, especially the people that don’t even know you,'" she explained, adding that “social media used to get me a lot” but she doesn’t “give a f-ck about what people have to say about me anymore."
“And I think he’s helped me get to that point where I’m strong in who I am, I’m confident in who I am and I’m confident in mine and his relationship -- and I’m confident in our life," she continued. "So, why does what other people say have to matter at all?”
Donald Trump Prefers Brittany Mahomes Over Taylor Swift
Following her "like," Donald Trump thanked the "beautiful" Brittany Mahomes for her support.
"I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country," he wrote at the time. "With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless 'leaders,' it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM."
Taylor Swift Endorses Kamala Harris
After announcing that she would be casting her vote for Kamala Harris, the pop icon also mentioned Harris' running mate, Tim Walz, and his beliefs and stance on LGBTQ+ rights and IVF.
"I was so heartened and impressed by [Harris'] selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades," she told her fans.
"I have done my research and made my choice," she later added. "Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early."
Taylor Swift Acknowledges AI Photos Of Her 'Supporting' Donald Trump
In August, billionaire-politician Donald Trump ignited controversy on his social media platform, Truth Social, by posting doctored images of Taylor Swift and her fans. The altered photos, which falsely suggested that the pop star supported Trump, sparked outrage among Swifties.
While Taylor remained silent at the time, she has now spoken out about the misleading AI-generated images.
"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation," she wrote on Instagram. "It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter."
"The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth," Taylor Swift added.
