According to The Hollywood Reporter, Meghan has earned the nickname "Duchess Difficult" from her staff in the US.

Sources claim that the former actress is known for "belittling people" and ignoring advice.

An insider criticized both Meghan and Harry, describing the duke as "charming" but an "enabler" of his wife's behavior.

"She belittles people, she doesn't take advice," the source told the publication. "They're both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he's very much an enabler. And she's just terrible."

"She's absolutely relentless," another source told THR. "She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders. I've watched her reduce grown men to tears."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have developed a reputation for high staff turnover, reportedly losing at least 18 employees since their 2018 wedding.

Since their move to California in 2020, at least nine key staff members have departed, including global press secretary Toya Holness and Meghan's private secretary, Samantha Cohen.

The report follows the Daily Mail's recent revelation that Christine Weir Schirmer, Harry and Meghan's PR adviser, quietly exited her role at the end of last year.

Schirmer joined the Archewell Foundation in 2020 as head of communications. Her departure came shortly after Josh Kettler, the couple's chief of staff, stepped down in August after only three months in the role.

Kettler's exit was described as a mutual decision, "with both sides agreeing it wasn't the right fit." However, Schirmer and Kettler's departures have drawn attention to the Sussexes' ongoing challenges with retaining staff.

Before Meghan and Harry's relocation to California, accusations of bullying surfaced, with claims that Meghan had mistreated palace staff, leading to an inquiry by royal aides into her alleged behavior toward two personal assistants.

Staff reportedly felt "traumatized," with some even comparing their experiences to post-traumatic stress, and several were left in tears.

Though the investigation's findings were never disclosed, Meghan consistently denied the accusations, with her legal team branding them a "calculated smear campaign."
