Mueller's appearance on "The Hollywood Raw" podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn was shared on YouTube, marking her first interview in over a decade. She opened up about her sobriety journey, confessing:

"It's been hard. And a lot of people at my level of addiction don't make it. In fact, most people don't. I worked really hard. It has not been easy."

"I am sober. I do work in a program. I do believe in the Twelve Steps," Mueller continued, "And to answer your question, I have nine months sober. Well, next week will be nine months."

One of the reasons she gave for her success was a sound support system, with the actress noting, "I have a fantastic sober community here in Malibu of some great women, and set meetings that I go to."

Mueller Hints At This Sobriety Journey Being Her Last

According to Sheen's ex-wife, she has finally got a handle on her sobriety journey — a bold statement that seemingly implied this might be her last time attempting to stay sober.

Mueller reflected on how far she had come, stressing that it had been a grueling and expensive journey. "Do you want to know how much it cost me since my first rehab at 19 or 20 to my 30th rehab at 47? It's in the millions," she confessed.

"And it's no exaggeration because, unfortunately, I thought you had to go to these rehabs that cost anywhere from $75k to $140k a month to get sober," Mueller continued, noting she did not get the change she needed at expensive facilities.

While reflecting on the millions she spent in her desperate attempts to attain sobriety, Mueller noted she got the wake-up call that changed her life at a cheaper place.

"In fact, this last time, I went to an insurance-only place, and they did not cater to me. They did not enable me. They did not care who I could have been or anything like that," she recalled, adding:

"So what was fantastic about that experience is, it was real, it was raw, and it woke me up. It really did."

Another reason for Mueller's determination to remain sober might stem from her child custody case with Sheen. The Blast reported that her ex-husband filed an emergency request to formalize an agreement they made in 2023.

According to the legal documents, Sheen implored the court to monitor his ex-wife for drug and alcohol abuse. He stressed that she needed to be clean to have rights to their twin sons, Bob and Max.

Part of his terms read: "Brooke shall test for drugs and alcohol (1) as often as required by her probation officer; (2) within 24 hours of a written request (email or text) from Charlie or his attorney until the Parties' children reach the age of majority or graduate high school."

Sheen noted that Mueller must be tested at least once per week, adding: "Brooke's custody/visitation will be terminated immediately following any positive test." She could also lose her rights by missing scheduled tests or talking to their children about it.

Brooke Mueller Was Reportedly Questioned In Matthew Perry's Death Case

The last time Mueller made waves was in June amid the investigation into Matthew Perry's death. The Blast reported that sources claimed Mueller was the mystery woman authorities questioned during the probe.

Mueller — who has a history of rehabilitation for substance abuse like Perry — was reportedly visited by cops with a search warrant in May. Insiders claimed she was "completely cooperative" during the survey of her home.

Although she was not arrested, a source noted the actress lawyered up after the incident and refused to discuss Perry's death. "She's being tight-lipped about the situation," they claimed, noting:

"It's tough to say or know exactly what her role is [in Matthew's death], but she's adamant she had nothing to do with that."

Matthew Perry died from acute effects of ketamine in October 2023. Hopefully, his tragic demise will be another reason for Brooke Mueller to stay sober.
