Tobey Maguire’s Ex-Wife Jennifer Meyer Engaged To Nigerian Billionaire Heir

Jennifer Meyer, who was married to actor Tobey Maguire for nearly a decade, is set to walk down the aisle again after announcing her engagement to Nigerian billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi.

Since Jennifer Meyer's 2022 split from Tobey Maguire, the pair have continued co-parenting their children, Ruby and Otis, while maintaining a supportive and amicable relationship.

Meyer shared the joy of her engagement with Geoffrey Ogunlesi, the son of Nigerian billionaire Adebayo Ogunlesi. The jewelry designer posted a heartwarming photo of the couple embracing, with Ogunlesi's arms wrapped around her in a tender gesture.

A large blue box, likely holding Meyer's dazzling engagement ring, was displayed on the table. The ring perfectly complemented Meyer's sophisticated style, featuring an emerald-shaped diamond flanked by two trapezoid baguette diamonds.

For the occasion, the 47-year-old dazzled in a mini black dress, while Ogunlesi looked sharp in a tight black sweater and pants, showcasing his muscular frame. The intimate moment was captured at what looked like a dinner party adorned with bottles of wine and elegant white roses.

Meyer's engagement announcement undoubtedly took social media by storm, judging by the excited responses she got. The jewelry designer's post, captioned with an enthusiastic "YES!!!" quickly attracted attention.

Fans were quick to praise the ring, with one commenting, "Wow!!! Huge congratulations!!!!! And that ring!!!!??!! I wouldn't expect anything less for the jewelry queen!" 

Meyer responded, revealing, "It was alllll him! Total surprise." The excitement did not stop there, as another fan cheekily remarked, "I'm not sure what I'm seeing first: that ring or that bicep!"

Her celebrity friends also joined in on the celebration. Jennifer Garner wrote, "Congratulations!!!," while Kelly Rowland expressed her happiness with, "So incredibly happy for you!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!"

While Meyer's engagement to her new beau is a thrilling new chapter, her journey has been anything but straightforward.

Meyer first met Maguire in 2003 while he was filming "Seabiscuit." They married in 2007, but their relationship was strained by 2016, leading Meyer to file for divorce in 2020.

Two years later, The Blast reported that Meyer revealed the amicable nature of her relationship with Maguire in an episode of "The World's First" Podcast. 

"I would literally do anything in the world for Tobey. He is my brother. I love him to death, and we have the most beautiful family," she shared.

Despite their positive rapport, Meyer acknowledged the challenges of co-parenting their two children while balancing their careers and personal lives.

Describing their divorce as "the most beautiful experience," Meyer also noted that her relationship with Maguire remained deeply supportive even after their split. 

"We talk about our significant others and share personal concerns," Meyer explained before adding that concern for each other's day-to-day activities was also included. Meyer credited their enduring closeness to their willingness to confront and overcome the emotional challenges of their split. 

She believes that their continued bond was also a result of universal forces keeping them aligned. "We're able to get through it, but it all goes back to the universe has your back if you stay on track," Meyer shared.

Before she opened up about their deep bond post-split, The Blast shared that Meyer candidly discussed the demanding journey of co-parenting with Maguire. The mother-of-two revealed the intense effort it took to achieve their supportive relationship. 

Meyer first acknowledged that their divorce was not the primary challenge, rather, navigating co-parenting was "a lot of work." The entrepreneur shared that maintaining a strong family dynamic for their children was their top priority. 

"It was a choice, and it was trusting in, like, the universe has got our back. But let me tell you something, the work is a motherf–ker," she explained. 

The former couple's evolution even included hanging out with each other's significant others, reflecting a mature approach to post-divorce life.
