Footage captured by the audience showed the exact moment of Scoop's collapse, which was just after he came on stage to excite the crowd. The video showed the rapper as he took the stairs to the DJ booth, but his breathing quickly became audibly labored, evidenced by his heavy breathing into the microphone.
Then Scoop said to the crowd, "If you came to party," then took a long pause and leaned forward as if to catch his breath, "Make some noise." After that, he dropped the microphone and collapsed on the ground, which caused gasps and screams from the crowd.
At this point, several artists working with Scoop tried to calm the audience and keep the show going, but this didn't work, as many were worried about the fallen rapper. Another clip from the event showed one artist walking over to the DJ booth to switch off the music, which quieted the hall.
The video only showed a partial view of someone performing chest compressions to revive Scoop before authorities arrived around 8:30 pm. At that point, Scoop was rushed out of the hall on a stretcher and taken to the hospital, where he later passed on.
