Taylor Swift Has Started 'Drawing Up Plays' For The Kansas City Chiefs Amid Travis Kelce Romance

Patrick Mahomes recently revealed that Taylor Swift has taken on a profound interest in football and now helps the Kansas City Chiefs to "draw up" plays.

Mahomes was full of praise for the "Blank Space" hitmaker, whose relationship with his teammate Travis Kelce has been going strong.

He previously shared that when they initially started dating, "everybody stayed away," but that has changed in recent months as he and his wife, Brittany, have struck up a friendship with Taylor Swift.

In a new "NFL on NBC" interview with Chris Simms, the 28-year-old Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback praised his teammate's girlfriend and her genuine interest in the sport.

"Meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is... that's been special to me, because like you said [she's] the most famous person in the world," Mahomes told Simms.

He continued, "She's really interested in football, she asks a lot of great questions. She's already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in."

Mahomes and his wife Brittany have grown closer to Swift ever since she and Kelce started dating over a year ago.

The couple attended Swift's Amsterdam Eras Tour with Kelce in July, and Brittany has also been pictured several times with the pop star enjoying the game.

The NFL superstar went on to comment on the increased interest he and the Kansas City Chiefs have seen since the "Bad Blood" hitmaker developed a liking for the sport.

"I think it's been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football," Mahomes responded. "I know being a girl dad how cool it is for me... to see these little girls, these daughters, and how much they're loving spending time with their dad watching football."

According to People Magazine, Mahomes previously praised Swift in an interview with CBS Mornings, noting that the singer is "top tier at her profession."

"... and to see how she drives and she becomes that — Dude, it's really cool to hear about and to see, and now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany and Travis' eyes," he shared, referencing his wife's friendship with Swift and his teammate's relationship with her.

Elsewhere in his interview with CBS Mornings, Mahomes alluded to how much Swift has warmed up to the squad, adding that his teammate's girlfriend is "part of the team."

The two-time Superbowl winner revealed that when the couple initially started dating, "everybody stayed back" and "just let [Kelce] do what he was doing."

"Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning," he admitted.

"She's just part of Chiefs Kingdom," Mahomes said. "And she's part of the team."

During an interview with NFL Radio, Mahomes was asked about his team as they prepare for a potential third consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

While speaking, the quarterback shared his thoughts on Kelce's evolving style: "You got the old man (Kelce). I've been trying to get him to grow his hair out, and all of a sudden, Taylor gets him to do it."

Kelce, who started dating Swift last year, has been seen sporting longer locks and a mustache during the Chiefs' training camp, a departure from his usual buzzcut.

Donna Kelce also spoke about her son's distinctive style on "The Martha Stewart Podcast," saying, "At times, I mean, he'll dress the way he needs to, but most of the time, he's doing it to make people laugh or talk."

Meanwhile, speculations about Swift and Kelce taking their romance to the next level have intensified in recent months, with many fans expecting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to get on one knee and pop the question to the singer soon.

NFL insider Adam Schefter sent Netizens into a frenzy when he hinted that Kelce may have already purchased an engagement ring.

The reporter was interviewing ESPN host Laura Rutledge when she weighed in on reports that Kelce bought a racehorse with a Swift-themed name but had not bought a ring.

"Wait, I have a question," Schefter said. "Laura, how do you know that Travis Kelce didn't buy an engagement ring?"

Rutledge replied, "I don't know. Do you know? Are you gonna break some big news here?"

Schefter then took a brief pause before adding, "I'm just saying that you said he didn't buy an engagement ring, and I'm wondering how you have that information."

Two-time NFL champion Booger McFarland then said, "Whoah, whoah, whoah... the awkward silence right there speaks volumes. Schefty, do you know something? America wants to know."

But Schefter responded, "All I did was ask a question about how Laura knew he hadn't bought an engagement ring. That's all I was doing."
