Witney Carson Confirms 'DWTS' Comeback And Teases New Dance Partner

On Thursday, Witney Carson confirmed that she is returning to "Dancing With The Stars," though her partner has yet to be announced.
In August 2023, Carson revealed she wouldn't be returning for season 32 of the ABC competition show as, in May, she had recently welcomed her second child, Jet, and wanted to prioritize her family.
After spending some quality time with her children and husband, Witney Carson has confirmed she is back and will compete in the upcoming "Dancing With The Stars" season, leaving fans ecstatic.
Witney Carson Takes Hiatus From 'Dancing With the Stars'
Last year, the professional dancer took a hiatus from the ABC reality show, saying she's was shifting her focus to spend more time with her family.
"Thank you for all your kind words of support it means so much to me!," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I will miss dancing for you all every single week this season, but I know it’s the right decision for me and my family right now. I love you all."
Now that her children are a bit older, Carson is ready to get back on the dance floor.
Witney Carson Confirms Return To 'Dancing With The Stars'
In a video chat with "Good Morning America," Carson said she is back as a pro dancer for season 33.
"Hi, guys, it's Whitney Carson. I am so excited to announce that I am coming back to 'Dancing with the Stars' for season 33," she said. "Just you wait until you hear who my partner is. He will sweep you off your feet. We are so ready to get that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy."
She also posted on the official "DWTS" Instagram page, telling fans, "Hi guys! I am back on 'Dancing With The Stars', and I can not wait to get back on that dance floor."
"Just you wait until you meet my partner. You guys are going to die," she teased.
Fans Guess Who Witney Carson Could Be Partnered With

After hearing the news, fans immediately began guessing who her partner could be. "Whitney and Jason Kelce!?!?" one user suggested.
"OMG, hopefully you’ll get Steven Burns or Tom Kenny!" another predicted.
"Witney and Stephan would be amazing," a third said, referring to Stephen Nedoroscik, aka Pommel Horse Guy, who was announced as a star for the upcoming season earlier this month.
Previous rumors suggested that "The Golden Bachelor" alum Gerry Turner would be joining the cast, though this has not been confirmed.
The rest of the cast will be revealed on "Good Morning America" on September 4.
Witney Carson Welcomes Her Son, Jet
Carson and her husband, Carson McAllister, welcomed their son, Jet, who needed to be rushed to the NICU and placed on a C-PAP machine to assist with his breathing.
“Soon after he was placed on my chest, he was rushed to the NICU. He spent an hour on the C-pap machine to help him breathe and another hour for observation. Felt like the longest two hours of my life…,” Carson explained at the. time of her son's birth. “We spent most of Mother’s Day cuddling skin to skin, and he continued to get better."
"He’s a little fighter, and we couldn’t be more grateful that he’s here with us," she added. "We love you so much, Jet."
When Will Season 33 Of 'DWTS' Premiere?

The rest of the cast for season 33 hasn't been announced yet, but fans got their first big reveal last week: Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik is joining the cast as the season's first contestant. "I want to bring some of that gymnastics -- maybe a backflip or handstand. I want to have fun with it," he said on "Good Morning America" of what fans can expect from him on the dance floor.
Season 33 of "Dancing With the Stars" will premiere on Tuesday, September 17, on ABC and Disney+. The next day, new episodes will be available on Hulu.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro are back as co-hosts, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough will return as judges.
