His death was announced by his family, with his son taking to Facebook to describe him as "a man of strength, kindness, and love."

Earlier in the day, the family of Sid shared that he had passed on at age 63 after battling with cancer for several years.
"Dear friends and family, I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years," read a statement from Sid's son Gunnar on Facebook.
Gunnar added about his father, "He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss."
It is unclear when a memorial service will be held for the late wrestling veteran, but his son confirmed that those details will be shared soon.

"So sad to hear that friend and wrestling superstar Sid Eudy (Sid Vicious & Sid Justice) has passed away at 63 years young from cancer," penned Marc Metro on X. "He was one of the first wrestlers i wrestled when i was trying out for WCW. What a great guy. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to his family, friends, and his millions of fans."
14-time world champion and current WWE chief content officer Triple H also posted about Sid's death.
He wrote, "A two-time WWE Champion. The Master and Ruler of the World. Few performers in the history of our business have had the look, intensity, and ability to connect with the audience quite like Sid. My thoughts are with Sid's family, friends and fans."

WWE has since broken its silence on the iconic wrestler's passing. A spokesperson for the organization shared a short tribute to the iconic wrestler in a statement to the Daily Mail, noting how much of an impact he had on the world of wrestling.
"WWE is saddened to learn that Sid Eudy has passed away," the statement began. "A two-time WWE Champion, Sid was one of the most imposing and terrifying competitors of his generation with a natural charisma that immediately connected with the WWE Universe. Standing at 6'9, Sid gained notoriety in 1989 when he signed with WCW and wrestled with and against some of the biggest names in the industry, including The Steiner Brothers, The Road Warriors, and The Four Horseman."
The tribute continued, "Known as 'The Master and Ruler of the World,' Sid's reputation as one of the toughest and most thrilling Superstars cemented his legacy in WWE, and his influence can still be seen in wrestling rings around the world."
"WWE extends its condolences to Eudy's family, friends, and fans," the statement concluded.

After years as an amateur wrestler, Sid joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1989 under the ring name Sid Vicious.
Within two years, he became a member of Ric Flair's The Four Horsemen and served as the group's enforcer.
Later, as a WWE star with the now-famous name Sycho Sid, he formed an alliance with Shawn Michaels and later with the Million Dollar Corporation.
Sid won multiple championships during his WWE career, including becoming a two-time WWE Champion.
His professional wrestling match was on August 5, 2017, where he defeated Paul Rosenberg in Ottawa, Ontario, for Great North Wrestling.
