Jeezy And Jeannie Mai Reportedly Recently Tied The Knot In Private Wedding

Earlier this week, it was reported by TMZthat Jeezy and Jeannie Mai had applied for their marriage license in Georgia. From that point, the two would've had six months to get married before they'd have to file for the license again. Now, it appears that the two actually got married last week, according to Vogue. This happened in Jeezy's hometown of Atlanta, less than a year after he proposed. He initially wanted to go to Vietnam and propose in 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic halted that and instead, he proposed in Los Angeles.

According to the report by Vogue, Jeezy and Jeannie had originally wanted to get married in either Lake Como or the South of France. COVID-19 played a role in the two deciding on Jeezy's hometown. His mother's passing was also a factor.

“We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate,” Jeannie explained. “But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID. After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short. And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife."

Jeannie also added that the two simply wanted to be married, regardless of where the wedding would take place. In Atlanta, she and Jeezy invited "immediate family" and "a few close friends" at their home. 

"And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends.”

According to Vogue,COVID-19 protocols were also sure to be followed at Jeezy and Jeannie's wedding as well. The two required guests to have a negative COVID test at least two days prior to the wedding, on the day of, tests were also provided, and from that point, the guests were routed to Jeezy and Jeannie's home. These  protocols were done "in order to make their event as safe as possible for everyone in attendance." This was definitely the right thing to do just to keep things on the safe side in regards to the virus.

Jeezy and Jeannie have been together for a while as their relationship dates back to early 2018. In 2019, there was also speculation that the two may have been expecting a child together but those reports were false. Now that the two are married though, this could change very soon. They have kept a very private life in regards to their relationship when it comes to being in the spotlight but in the end, Jeezy and Jeannie seem extremely happy together and hopefully, this marriage is amazing.
