Jessica Simpson is revealing to fans that she spent part of last year battling COVID-19, and instead of letting the virus take over her life and consume her with fear, she chose to chronicle the experience into an essay that is now being shared with the public.
The bestselling author and entrepreneur took to Instagram on Monday to reveal a new project that will be launched with Amazon as part of her larger deal with the studio to develop storytelling content.
Revealing a beautifully stoic shot of herself in a sheer dress, Jessica Simpson revealed the cover of her new Amazon Original Stories essay titled, “Take the Lead,” which she describes deals with “self-acceptance, parenthood and overcoming fear.”
“We have all been handed challenges and fears in our lives that, at times, felt like too much to overcome,” Simpson wrote to her fans.
She continued, “This past year has been especially intense for me and so many of you. I started writing this essay on the same day I received a positive test result for COVID-19. I decided instead of being driven by fear, I would manifest a hopeful conversation with you.”
Jessica Simspson described an emotional breakthorugh while writing, “Take the Lead,” and explained that, “I felt strong, resilient, and God- inspired through my pen teaching me as I was sharing with you ways to get to the other side of fear.”
Simpson’s new essay will be available on April 29th, along with an audio version narrated by the star.
It was announced last year Simpson had signed a gigantic multi-media rights deal with Amazon that included two essays put out through Amazon Publishing, as well as a non-scripted docuseries based on her New York Times best-selling memoir “Open Book,” and a scripted series inspired by the memoir with a coming-of-age feel.
