Adele's video expressing her love for Sabrina Carpenter's hit song, "Espresso," has recently gone viral.
At a concert earlier this year, the "Set Fire To The Rain" singer shared that the viral track was the last thing on her mind before she fell asleep one night.
In response, Sabrina Carpenter has now addressed Adele's praise while promoting her latest album, "Short n' Sweet," which was released on Friday.
Adele Sings Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso'
Earlier this year, during one of her shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Adele told her fans a short story about how she "found myself singing" the infamous lyrics, "I'm working late, cause' I'm a singer."
"That Sabrina Carpenter song--that song is my jam!" the artist added.
Months after the clip went viral, Sabrina finally reacted.

During her recent appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" to promote her new album "Short n' Sweet," Sabrina Carpenter inevitably had to address her hit song "Espresso," which was mentioned during the interview.
“Your songs have been everywhere the past few months; people can’t stop singing them,” Jimmy said during the interview, referring to her hits "Espresso" and "Please Please Please." “But there was a video of Adele talking about how “Espresso” was the last thing she thought about before she went to bed."
As Sabrina giggled, Jimmy played the viral clip of Adele singing Sabrina's song, to which Sabrina, with a big smile on her face, said, "I just love how, like, Does she have social media? How does she know about the song? That's the most mind-blowing thing to me."
"How does she know about the song? It's Adele, one name. So cool," she added.
'Espresso' Takes The World By Storm
"Espresso" has been deemed the "song of the summer," topping charts and earning its spot as Sabrina's first No. 1 on the global Spotify charts in April. "'Espresso' has been certified platinum and was one of the fastest songs to reach a billion streams in the history of Spotify," Jimmy read from a card, as the audience cheered.
The hit also marked her first top-five hit on Billboard’s Hot 100, earning her first No. 1 in the U.K., Ireland, and Australia.
Earlier this year, Sabrina said that when writing the song, it was "one of those times in my life where it was just like, I just thought I was the sh-t in the moment."
"And I think you don't always feel that way, so you kind of have to capture those moments that you do because that's how you find those little," she recalled. "There was something really exciting about the fact that there was so much personality throughout the entire song because those are the ones that are really, really fun to sing live with a crowd."
Sabrina said that "those are the ones that people" love and can relate to. "I think when they don't know my music or who I am or anything," she continued. "They can just tune in to a single song and kind of leave with a better idea of my sense of humor."
Sabrina Carpenter Releases New Album
Before the release of her album, which dropped on Friday, Sabrina chatted with Zane Lowe in a recent "Apple Music 1" interview. She noted that "Short n' Sweet" represents a significant departure from "her last album," emphasizing the new direction in her music.
"I questioned it until the day before it came out, like, ‘Is it done?’ and, ‘Could I have changed it?’ and ‘Could I have written another song?’" she said, per Just Jared. "And to be fair, I do have a hard time with the fact that I do feel like life doesn’t stop. So it’s really hard to tell when a chapter of your life should be book-ended.”
'Short n' Sweet' Is Available Now
For her new album, the "Feather" artist reunited with close friends and previous collaborators from her last album, "Emails I Can't Send," such as John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, Julia Michaels, Amy Allen, and Steph Jones, to create more music.
Additionally, she’s joined forces with acclaimed producers Jack Antonoff (renowned for his work with Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey) and Ian Kirkpatrick (famous for his collaborations with Dua Lipa and Selena Gomez) for the first time.
"Short n' Sweet" is out now.
