'RHOC' Star Shannon Beador Talks Marriage, Is John Janssen A Father Figure To Her Daughters?

Shannon Beador opened up about her relationship with boyfriendJohn Janssen during a March 27 appearance on Us Weekly's "Getting Real With the Real Housewives" podcast.

As she nears their two-year anniversary, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" cast member said that Janssen has been a great addition to her life in the years since her messy split from ex-husband David Beador, the father of her three daughters.

“He’s great and he’s very, very supportive, especially with the launch of Lemonade," Beador gushed.

"I took some turns that were wrong and when he came into my life, he kind of helped me create the structure of the company, bring in new people to help me out and to have him by my side as we finally launched the first product, Lemonade, it’s been rewarding,” Beador continued. 

Beador and Janssen began dating in the summer of 2019 and confirmed their relationship that July with a photo on Beador's Instagram page. A short time later, Janssen began appearing alongside Beador on "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

When Beador was asked if Janssen has been serving as a father figure to her three daughters, Beador said that he's actually kept himself from doing so. 

“No, he’s very good about that. He knows that they have a father. He’s kind to them and he’s sweet and helpful when they need anything but he doesn’t take on that father role at all,” she explained. 

Either way, her kids are happy to see that Beador is content in her relationship with Janssen. 

“My kids just want me to be healthy and happy so when they see me happy, they’re ecstatic," she revealed.

“I look forward to every different chapter of my life so I think it will be fun," Shannon said of becoming an empty nester in the coming years. "Hopefully I’ll have a partner and we’ll do some traveling and things out and about.”

As for how her relationship is with David, Beador made it clear that things have not improved in the years since she and David divorced. 

She also said that she's no longer hopeful that they ever will. 

“I’ve come to accept it,” she said of their strained relationship.

Also during her appearance on "Getting Real With the Real Housewives," Beador admitted that she's still in the process of fixing her face after getting bad filler prior to last year's "Real Housewives of Orange County" season 15 reunion.

“I’m in the process of fixing right now. I’ve never done it before and it was non-dissolvable so I go in every two weeks. They put stuff in to try and get rid of it," she revealed, adding that "you live and learn.”
