Christine Quinn's estranged husband, Christian Richard, is not about to incur extra debt in his home!
Richard has petitioned the court to relax the rules of his temporary restraining order so he could attend to the emergency on his property.
Things went south between Christine Quinn and Christian Richard in March, resulting in both of them filing a Temporary Restraining Order.
Christine Quinn's Estranged Husband Wants Entry To Fix A $10,000 Problem On His Property
Richard, whose legal name is Christian Dumontet, pled with the court to lift the order granting him exclusive access to their Hollywood Hills home in California.
The reality star's request comes after he consistently received utility bill fines of up to $10,000 in excess due to alleged water damage at the estate.
He claimed to have been receiving fines from Los Angeles Vector Control since July 18, 2024, for the abandonment and lack of upkeep of the property.
However, his inability to go near the property due to Quinn's restraining order and lack of communication from Quinn's legal team are stumbling blocks in his plans to find a lasting solution to the problem.
Richard's legal team disclosed that he owns the property alone, stating, "As separate property, there is no marital interest in the property, and no funds were co-mingled during the duration of the marriage" for her to convert it to community property.
Page Six shared that Richard's legal team claimed Quinn has not lived in the house since July of this year. They also stated that Quinn had not maintained the home since Richard's exit.
Richard Requested To Be Reimbursed For Some Expenses
Richard also demanded $29,000 from Quinn as repayment for the monthly rental value of the home. He also asked to be reimbursed for pricey Hermes bags he bought for the reality star during their union, which were regarded as "investment items" on Quinn's behalf.
Richard also included pictures of their mailbox filled to the max with late payment notices and tickets from the Los Angeles Vector Control. The notices were issued for failure to provide access to inspect for mosquito breeding.
The mother-of-one's attorneys came out to trash Richard's claims about the alleged water damage. The team clarified that there was no water damage in the house, and the notices were for an "unpaid LADWP bill that hasn't been paid for months."
Her lawyers stated that the water issue has been occurring since September 2023, when a pipe burst flooded the basement, which means it was not an emergency, as Richard described it.
The Beginning Of The End Of The Estranged Pair's Marriage
Cracks appeared in the celebrities's union in March when the authorities showed up at their home after an emergency call for domestic violence.
Richard allegedly hit their son with a glass bottle. The dust of his arrest did not settle when the tech expert was detained for the second time for returning to their shared home despite a restraining order.
He, however, denied throwing anything at his estranged wife and son, insisting that the argument was about Quinn's untrained dogs. He claimed that he only threw a full trash bag to the side of the room "against the wall."
Richard filed for divorce in April due to irreconcilable differences. He demanded sole legal and physical custody of their son, which they welcomed in 2021 via an emergency C-section.
Christine Quinn Blamed Their Failed Marriage On Money Troubles
It may seem that the irreconcilable differences Richards claimed in his divorce filing were not the only reason they did not work out.
The Blast shared that Quinn stated in her filing that the marriage degenerated over their financial situation, which triggered Richard's erratic behaviors.
The real estate broker claimed the tech guru swung a metal-filled decorative item and dog pop at her. He also allegedly peed on the floor during his rampage.
The mom-of-one explained that the moment opened her eyes to the imminent danger ahead if she stayed with Richard, and she began packing her bags to leave their home.
Richard Bagged Three Misdemeanor Charges
Quinn's decision to leave the premises further triggered Richard, who The Blast reported initially aimed a bag of glass at her but ended up hitting their two-year-old.
The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office then hit the reality star with three counts of misdemeanor over the incident, including child abuse/endangerment, assault, and violation of protection order.
Quinn expressed her satisfaction over the charges through her attorney, Jacqueline Sparagna, who described them as a crucial step forward in protecting Quinn and their son.
Richard was ordered to stay 100 yards away from his estranged wife and banned from stalking, threatening, or assaulting Quinn, their son, and their two Yorkshire Terriers.
Richard's request is the latest development in their bitter divorce battle, and the court is yet to grant him permission to access the building.
