Months before his first death anniversary, authorities made a breakthrough in Perry's case. They began investigating his demise after his autopsy revealed he had a significant level of ketamine in his system.

The Blast recently reported that prosecutors shared new details about what transpired in the last days of Perry's life. One of the five people involved in his death, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, visited his Los Angeles residence two weeks before his demise.

Plasencia allegedly stopped by to inject the actor with a large dose of ketamine, which caused Perry's blood pressure to increase rapidly. The aftermath saw him freezing, an adverse reaction that scared the doctor.

Perry's reaction to the large ketamine dose reportedly made Plasencia rethink his plans. He told the entertainer's live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, that they had to stop injecting him with hefty doses of the drug.

However, the new plan didn't last long, with Iwamasa allegedly injecting Perry nearly 30 times in the days leading to his passing. He also administered Ketamine three times on the day his boss died.

Plasencia reportedly ordered Iwamasa to "shoot [Perry] up with a big one" in the last hours of his life. The doctor and his associate, Dr. Mark Chavez, have been arrested and charged with Perry's death.

The culprit list included Iwamasa, a drug dealer named Erik Fleming, and Jasveen Sangha, aka the "Ketamine Queen of Los Angeles."

In July, The Blast shared that Perry left behind significant wealth, with initial reports claiming his personal wealth was worth a million. However, sources noted he had about $1.5 million to his name.

The late actor's wealth continued with a trust valued at $120 million. The beneficiaries of this money included his father, John Perry, mother, Suzanne Morrison, half-sister Caitlin Morrison, and his ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn.

The "Friends" star left most of his possessions to the Alvy Singer Living Trust, created in 2009 and named after Woody Allen's 1977 "Annie Hall" character. He also left his $6 million Pacific Palisades home to his trustee, Lisa Ferguson.

Happy posthumous birthday, Matthew Perry!
