The reality star reportedly plans to leave his treatment facility, but only after making a big return to work. A source close to Taylor disclosed that the TV personality plans to leave on Thursday and will head straight to Los Angeles.

Aside from working again, the star also plans to spend quality time with his son Cruz, and it is a top priority on his to-do list. However, the bonding will happen in their family home away from his estranged wife, Cartwright, who will remain in her nearby rental apartment.

For work, Taylor is expected to join the cast of "The Valley" for the rest of production for an "emotional" season 2, which began filming earlier in the summer. The reality star also wants to get adjusted to life outside rehab again and not miss a minute of his time with Cruz.

Why Did Taylor Check Into Rehab?

The "Vanderpump Rules" alum decided to consult experts for his mental health issues by taking the best route- checking in for inpatient treatment.

The Blast shared that his separation from Cartwright due to incessant marital problems triggered his mental health issues.

The 45-year-old, through his rep, asked for "privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on the matter" following news of his rehab program.

The couple walked down the aisle in 2019 and announced their separation in February, months after fans watched their marriage go down the drain on "The Valley's" season 1 finale.

The ex-couple's separation was heralded by an explosive argument where Taylor screamed at Cartwright for hours, making her move out of their family home. In her words:

"About six weeks ago, I separated from Jax. I moved into an Airbnb with Cruz because Jax would not leave the house. I just feel like that shows how selfish Jax is."

She expressed her displeasure at the fact that he let her do the moving instead of him moving out, adding that a man from "Kentucky" should not do that.

"I just kind of hit this point where I started noticing everything that he did to me. It just hit me like a ton of bricks or something. And then I was just kind of like, what am i doing? Why am i here?" queried the mom-of-one.

Taylor and Cartwright's shouting match was fueled by her outing with Kristen Doute, who also appeared on "The Valley."

The podcaster addressed the drama on an April episode of "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, where she claimed spending an evening with Doute irritated Taylor.

Cartwright shared that Taylor was upset the day after her outing and made up a story in his head, starting a fight about what never happened.

The mom of one explained that their marriage degenerated to a point where they fought over everything, adding: "It was just a very toxic situation that I felt like I needed to remove myself from."

Cartwright revealed that their relationship went downhill after the big fight, and it was like a veil lifted, bringing every wrong thing to her attention. The reality star declared:

"You know they always say a woman can hit her breaking point, and it's hard to come back from that.

During an episode of "The Valley," Cartwright shared that their intimacy also declined with their relationship problems. She reminisced on the glory days of their sexual lives, which involved "having sex all the time. 24/7." She added:

"We didn't miss a day. And then it has just changed dramatically. I'm talking like, twice in the past year. She continued: "You know the old Westerns when the tumbleweed rolls around? That's our sex life. I am the old tumbleweed."

Tayor also shared the same thought in another scene, noting that their romantic spark was gone and it was his fault. The "Bravo" star added: I let that spark fizzle. It's just not fair to either one of us. Especially it's not fair to my wife. She deserves to have a man to be loving to her.

Will there be a reconciliation on the menu for Taylor and Cartwright now that he is back from rehab? Only time will tell!
