According to the police, two suspects connected to the terror plot were taken into custody. The culprits, aged 17 and 19 respectively, had planned attacks "with a bomb, knives and a vehicle attack on young fans."

Austrian authorities shared that the 19-year-old confessed he intended to "kill as many people as possible outside the concert venue." The terror attack was reportedly supposed to end with him detonating a homemade bomb and dying in the process.

The canceled concerts had financial consequences, as a show expert revealed that the singer could amass up to nine figures in refunds. Nick Ede continued that the three "Eras" tour shows would have gulped around £136,500,000, based on the average ticket price and other expenses.

Ede also factored in the costs of extra security and teams who were on the ground to support the teeming fans who had traveled miles to watch her perform.
