Halle Bailey Shares Photos Of Her Son's First Concert Experience

Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed their first child, Halo, in December 2023, but kept the news under wraps until they made the official announcement in January.

In the weeks following Halo’s arrival, Bailey got real about her postpartum journey and has been sharing a number of adorable photos of her little one.

On Thursday, August 15, Halle Bailey posted a photo dump of adorable snaps featuring herself and her 7-month-old baby boy, Halo, rocking matching double denim.

The actress flaunted a blue corset top and jeans, while Halo, sporting cornrows, wore a cute denim jacket and pants to match his mom.

“Took my baby to his first concert tonight to see Bruno Mars,” Bailey captioned the series of photos, adding a blue heart emoji. In three of the snaps, she was seen holding her son — whom she shares with rapper boyfriend DDG — on her hip.

Bailey's sister, Chloe, commented on the post: "he’s MINE. I miss you both so much."

Others couldn't help but notice how much Halo resembles his dad, DDG. "Damn he look like his father," one user wrote. "Yeah I see DDG now," another said, adding a laughing face emoji.

Bailey then held her little guy up for an adorable snap, flashing a big smile as she stared at him.

The actress's top was designed to mimic real jeans, and both she and Halo rocked loose-fitting denim pants. They both sported braids, while Bailey added some flair to her denim-on-denim look with her signature gold "HALO" necklace, a bronze eye look, and thick lashes.

In the next picture, she cuddled her seven-month-old close and placed her hand affectionately on his jacket.

Halo might not remember catching Bruno Mars live, but these photos will surely bring a smile to his face in the future.

In early January 2024, Bailey and her longtime partner, DDG, announced the arrival of their son, Halo, with a charming photo of his tiny hand and a “Halo” bracelet. They kept Halo’s face hidden for around six months before unveiling heartwarming family photos from their Italian getaway, where they coordinated their outfits.

Last month, the "Little Mermaid" actress celebrated Halo's seven-month milestone with a brownie adorned with birthday candles. "7 months today," she wrote over a photo of Halo.

The latest photo dump comes a few months after Bailey opened up about her postpartum journey, telling her fans, "I just wanted to speak a little bit about my postpartum journey as a new mom."

"I have severe, severe postpartum [depression], and I don't know if any new moms can relate," she continued. "But it's to the point where it's really bad, and it's hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out."

She later added that DDG is the "most amazing daddy in the world" and is "just the perfect dad to him."

"He loves him so much; he's so present. And I couldn't have asked for a better person to have a baby with because of how present he is, and how much he wants to be in his life, and how supportive he is of me and my ventures," thee 24-year-old said.

She explained her decision to keep her pregnancy a secret at the 2024 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards on March 7.

“What was one of the biggest highlights of my life, and to be real, one of the biggest challenges, too, cannot compare to the biggest joy of my life, and that was becoming a mom to my perfect little angel, Halo,” Bailey said during her acceptance speech.

“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone,” she added. “Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that unyielding spotlight.”
