Health is indeed wealth, and Usher is not compromising his well-being for ticket sales.

The iconic RnB singer made an important announcement about a shift in his planned Wednesday show due to physical health and preparedness issues.

Usher is still billed to perform shows in Atlanta on Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17, as he did not address any change to those dates in his announcements.

Usher Promises To Share The Rescheduled Date

The 45-year-old may have broken the hearts of millions of fans in the early hours of today, but it is all for the right reasons. The star announced in a lengthy post that his "Past Present Future" tour, which was supposed to kick off this night, will not hold.

As for why it would not happen, Usher confirmed it was to focus on giving himself a chance to "rest and heal." The entertainer partly wrote:

"For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat, and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans."

He assured the fans they would still get "a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date," and most importantly, a 100% Usher.

The award-winning act declared that the last thing he ever wanted to do was disappoint the fans "who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start.

He continued that his physical capability was important to help him give his fans the best, and his team will share news of the new dates soon.

The Fans Reacted To The Shocking News

Mixed reactions trailed Usher's statement and his fans took to the comment section to air their thoughts about his health update and the postponement.

This disappointed fan wrote, "I'm crushed. I called out for you. I think i deserve backstage passes!" Another fan shared, "Flight just landed in Atlanta. So disappointed. But health comes first."

"Your health is THE most important thing!!! Take the time you need! Your daysonesain't going nowhere!!!It takes courage to put yourself first."wrote this user to reassure the performer.

Someone admired Usher's strength as they noted that "Touring after a residency and the superbowl is tough" and encouraged the artist to get some needed rest.

Despite the massive show of support from Usher's fans, some displeased attendees expressed their views in the comments.

"Literally flew here for nothing," wrote this fan. Another shared the same sentiment and stated, "Hours before the show is unacceptable!

"This is crazy, The industry HAS to do better on rescheduling concerts…if I didn't live hereI'd be PISSED," another fan wrote.

Usher's statement did not come as a shock as the artist spent most of last year performing in his highly successful and widely acclaimed Las Vegas residency, which ended in December 2023.

He also released his ninth studio album, "Coming Home," in February this year and headlined the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show the same month.

The "Past Present Future" tour will be his first in nearly a decade and will celebrate the performer's legacy and journey in the music industry.

The tour playlist will feature his classic songs and his new hits. The artist is still scheduled to perform at Atlanta's State Farm Arena on August 16 and 17.

His tour party will travel the long nights from this month through May 2025, stopping in major cities such as Toronto, London, Chicago, and Boston.

The Singer And His Partner Secured Their Marriage License Earlier This Year

Usher can really do it all. Amid his hectic schedule and rehearsal for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, the 45-year-old became a legally married man.

The Blast reported that he obtained a marriage license at Clark County on Thursday, February 8, to seal the union between him and his partner, Jennifer Goicoechea.

However, they did not make the decision alone, as they received quality counsel from their spiritual advisor, Amba Kahly Su, to go ahead with the plan.

Sources close to the singer disclosed that the wedding ceremony proper will be intimate, with only their friends and families in attendance.

The couple shares two children, Sovereign and Sire, who join Usher's two teenage sons from his previous marriage to fashion guru Tameka Foster. The four kids are expected to be at the father's second wedding, reportedly in one of Las Vegas' famous chapels.

Alicia Keys appeared alongside Usher in a red sequined jumpsuit and played her heart out on the piano, after which they performed their classic duet "My Boo." Lil Jon and Ludacris also joined Usher to perform the hit single "Yeah," which swept across the stadium with nostalgia.

The performer declared during his headliner announcement in 2023 that "It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance" off his prestigious bucket list.
