Patrick Mahomes’ giant hands are not just good for protecting the football; they are also great for cradling his baby girl!
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback shared a cute photo to celebrate his baby daughter, Sterling‘s 1-month milestone on Saturday, March 20. The proud papa stared down lovingly at the little girl as he held her much closer to the chest than he held the pigskin in Super Bowl. Sterling had an adorable pink bow as she flailed her tiny arms. Mahomes wore a smile that only the joy of being a father can cause.
The Super Bowl runner-up simply captioned the photo, “1 month❤️.” His fiancee, Brittany Matthews shared the same image and wrote, “Ster is 1 Month??.” Judging by mommy’s emoji choice, Sterling Skye Mahomes may be growing up too fast already!
Jackson Mahomes, Patrick’s younger brother, quickly commented, “So exciting, love you guys!!❤️” but he wasn’t the only familiar face in the comments section. Taylor Lautner wrote, “Amazing man,” while Marquise Goodwin said, “??? Papa Pat.”
Patrick and his 25-year-old fiancee, Brittany Matthews, welcomed Sterling into the world on February 20. “Sterling Skye Mahomes ?? 2/20/21 6lbs 11oz,” she captioned her announcement post.
Not too many 1-month-olds get the Royal treatment as baby Sterling did! Mama shared a picture of the little girl’s birthday cake as they spent the day at Salt River Fields Stadium in Arizona. “Happy 1-Month Birthday Sterling,” the cake’s frosting read. “Sterling says thank you @KCRoyals,” mommy wrote on her IG story. Unfortunately, Sterling didn’t get to see a KC victory on her special day; the Royals battled their way into a 6-6 tie with the Arizona Diamondbacks. A tie is always better than a loss!
