Singer Olivia Rodrigo Admits It Took Four Tries To Get Her Driver's License

Olivia Rodrigo shocked the world with the release of an amazing tract titled “Driver’s License” that went viral on Tiktok. 

The Disney actor is fast becoming a rising star and now, fans cannot decide if they lover her voice or her acting skills. Either way is good for them, but the icing on the cake would be to get both versions of the star.

Her latest track was inspired by an experience she had to go through four time to get it right. Although the song is now nationally associated to promising relationships what wrecked along the way. 

The actress was born in Temecula, California, U.S. on February 20, 2003. She kicked off her career in entertainment as an actress with Disney Channel.

Afrer this, she landed a series of prominent roles, including in a Disney+ series titled “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”

On January 8, 2021, she released her debut single titled “Driver’s License,” which was co-written by Dan Nigro. This track earned a Spotify record for most daily streams twice in a row. The initial streaming record was put at 15.7 million and counting on the app. 

Rodrigo revealed that she had to go through four attempts to get her driver’s license in real life.

The first time she tried to get it, she canceled it because of the COVID-19 outbreak. 

The second time, Rodrigo mentioned that she had to pick between filming the Disney series she was already on and getting the license. She decided to forfeit the latter for the second time.

The third time around, Rodrigo forgot that she had not repaired the horns in her mom’s car, which she was using at the time. So, the test could not be completed.

Fortunately, the fourth time was a no-brained, as she went in there prepared and finally got the license she had been trying so hard to get. 

During an interview with Zac Lowe from Apple Music, Rodrigo disclosed what inspired the lyrics of her debut song.

She went on to say that one day, she was driving around her neighborhood in her car (after the got her driver’s license obviously.)

During that time, she was listening to sad songs from a player, which pushed her to tears. After she regained herself, she went home and decided to write about what she felt in the car, while driving through her neighborhood.

“It was really really natural and organic. Very much me writing in the depth of my emotion,” she said.

The 18-year-old actress and singer has no doubt began an incredible journey into stardom and her fans with her the entire time.

However, for now, she is still working on her movie project with Disney, where she continues to show her amazing musical skills to fans all over the world.

A report from PopSugar revealed that the youngster has been writing songs since she was very little and no doubt, she does not intend to stop that anytime soon.
