Griffin Johnson Takes Over Yankee Stadium for TikTok Q&A

TikTok star Griffin Johnson just lived out the dream of pretty much every New York Yankee fan when he paid a trip to the famed stadium and had his name blasted across the Jumbotron! The 22-year-old social media influencer made the trip to Yankee Stadium this week, located in the Bronx, to participate in a TikTok live stream and discuss his love for baseball, as well as all things Yankees. Among the revelations, Griffin revealed his favorite player currently wearing the pinstripes.

The Yankee organization rolled out the red carpet for Griffin Johnson when he showed up because they threw his name on the Jumbotron with a "Welcome Griffin" message. As Yankee Stadium is currently closed to most fans, it was a pretty cool experience for a visit to the promised land.

Even though Griffin Johnson grew up in Illinois, he is a die-hard Yankees fan and tells The Blast it was Derek Jeter who first drew him to the NY franchise.

"I first loved the Yankees because of one of my biggest idols, Derek Jeter. I love how professional and personal he was on and off the field," Griffin says.

As for who Griffin Johnson's favorite New York Yankee is ... he doesn't hesitate to name star outfielder Aaron Judge.

"Aaron Judge has been my favorite player ever since he was a rookie," Griffin explains.

The TikTok star also talked about loving the game of baseball – he prefers 2nd base – since he first began playing at the age of 5, and that he still has dreams of one day suiting up for a major league game.

Seeing as Griffin is already crushing many of his business goals, a future MLB slugger could be in his future!
