Lauryn Hill and the Fugees have thrown a curveball at their American fans, pulling the plug on their much-anticipated US tour just days before its kickoff.

While the group is set to embark on the European leg of the tour, Hill is pointing fingers at the media, claiming their "narrative" has negatively impacted ticket sales.

This is not the first time the singer-songwriter has blamed external factors for tour disruptions. Last November, she cited a prescription-induced condition for postponing the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Anniversary Tour.

With another tour upheaval, Lauryn Hill notes that the European leg of the tour remains on track, promising fans across the Atlantic a chance to see the iconic group live.

Hill recently took to Instagram to clear the air just days before The Fugees' tour was set to launch. In a lengthy Instagram post, the star attributed the decision to sluggish ticket sales, which she blames on sensationalist media coverage.

Reflecting on last year's tour postponement due to an injury, Hill expressed frustration with the media's portrayal of the incident:

"Last year, I had to reschedule several shows because of an injury. Unfortunately, the media's love for sensationalist headlines has spun a narrative that has hurt ticket sales for the North American tour."

The award-winning singer's Miseducation Anniversary Tour has been plagued by a series of setbacks, and now financial troubles have surfaced. Before the recent spate of cancellations, her tour's promoting company, MLH Touring Inc., was hit with a lawsuit for breach of contract in May.

Legal documents obtained by The Blast reveal that MLH Touring Inc. is being sued for nearly $60,000 in unpaid services and other compensatory demands.

According to the documents, a California-based service provider, Eighteentwentysix LLC, claims it was contracted to handle production, rehearsals, and other crucial aspects of the North American tour.

This extensive work resulted in a bill totaling $59,175.89. Despite fulfilling its obligations, the company alleges that MLH Touring has failed to pay the agreed-upon fees. The lawsuit seeks to recover the outstanding amount, along with additional charges for legal fees and court costs.

Lauryn Hill's tour has faced significant setbacks due to legal issues and repeated cancellations, but her commitment to her craft is still unmatched.
