In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Armie Hammer's mother addressed the sexual abuse and cannibalistic fantasy allegations that impacted her son's Hollywood career.

Fondly recalling Armie's childhood, Dru described him as the "most fabulous son in the world," adding: "He was such a delight, and he has such a kind heart. Every time I went to the set, people would say, 'Your son is the nicest person we've ever worked with."

However, the "Hammered" author revealed that Arnie "had an incident that happened at 14 and his life spiraled from then," seemingly referring to Armie's revelation in a February interview with Air Mail that he had been sexually abused by a youth pastor as a young teenager, which he said influenced his interest in BDSM.

Reflecting on her own learnings, Dru continued, "I pray to God that what I've learned now going back, I should have had my marriage in counseling because my former husband was also abused. And I've learned a lot, too. And I hope and pray that I can have a ministry to help others who have gone through the same thing."

She continued: "[Armie] was absolutely a delight, But then he gets into Hollywood. He started medicating with alcohol and drugs, and I'm so grateful that today he's almost four years sober, and he is baby-stepping back to Jesus."

A committed Christian herself, Dru expressed her relief over Armie's newfound sobriety and reconnection with his faith, adding, "I prayed for him for 23 years, which says God answers prayers, but it's not always on our timing."

During the conversation with Fox News Digital, Dru reflected on hearing the allegations against her son.

"Well, first of all, these girls, most of them were in my home," she said. "One stayed in my home for Thanksgiving, and they were madly in love with my son. And Armie takes full responsibility. [He said] 'I never abused anyone. It was totally consensual.'"

She recalled that when she first read about the cannibalism claims, she asked Armie, "Are there any girls out there with limbs missing? I mean, is there something I'm missing out on?"

She added: "It was just so audacious that he would actually eat people. I know there were texts that went around, but I said to Armie, I go, 'I got to stop what I say.' Because I've walked up to babies going, 'Oh my gosh, you're the cutest thing in the world. I could eat you up,' but I'm not eating babies."

Dru further noted that her son went through a "dark phase" and has now been "exonerated" by the justice system. She told the news outlet that although Armie was "morally wrong" for what he did, "he was not criminally wrong."

"And I am a praying mother," And I would tell him all the time, Armie Hammer, both my sons, 'You literally do not have a chance in hell because you have a mother that is praying for you every single day.'"

"All I care about is that my sons do what's right and serve the Lord," Dru added. "And that's what I'm seeing. And that's part of my book — is I've had the privilege of seeing the whole story come full circle, and God is really restoring our family."

The screenshots showed messages referring to his desire to consume the blood and flesh of the women.

After that, more women accused Armie of sexual misconduct and sexual and emotional abuse, with one of the ladies, Effie Angelova, claiming the actor violently raped her for hours. Armie's ex-girlfriend, Paige Lorenz, also claimed that he once expressed a desire to smoke and eat her ribs.

At the time, the embattled actor denied all the allegations but was ultimately dropped by his talent agency and personal publicist soon after.

Armie also exited multiple film projects he was featured in, such as "Gaslit" with Sean Penn and Julia Roberts, "Shotgun Wedding" with Jennifer Lopez, and Taika Waititi's "Next Goal Wins."

Six months before the allegations came to light, the actor's wife, Elizabeth Chambers, filed to divorce him, citing "irreconcilable differences."

The ex-couple, who married in 2010, have two children together. According to their divorce settlement, Armie has to pay Chambers $1,500 monthly for child support.
