Ellen Pompeo's Bikini Photos With 12-Year-Old Daughter Deemed 'Intrusive'

Ellen Pompeo looked happy and relaxed as she splashed about ocean waters in 2022, but the July photos showing her every move wound up angering fans. In Sardinia, Italy photos taken two summers ago, the Grey's Anatomy star flaunted her stunning figure in a beyond-tiny bikini, showcasing her curves and impressive abs while on a family vacation. While some images showed the star solo as she wowed in her nearly see-through bikini, others showed her splashing about the surf with daughter Stella. When users on The Daily Mail saw the snaps, they deemed the paparazzi presence "intrusive."

Scroll for the photos. Aged 52 at the time of the photos, Ellen gave a nod to her high-end budget as she chose Italian designer Dolce & Gabbana for her swimsuit. Rocking the micro bikini trend, the TV favorite flashed her cleavage and toned midriff in a barely there, minuscule bikini in white, opting for triangle cups and structured piping for a chic finish. Showing off the gold D&G logo on her straps, Ellen adjusted her bikini top in one photo, with others showing her waist-deep in the waters and with her swimwear and hair soaking wet.

Going makeup-free as she showed off her ageless beauty, Ellen wore a gold chain bracelet and red manicure for a swanky, but low-key, finish, with some snaps showing her wading through shallow waters and toward the shore. Ellen was also joined in the ocean by 12-year-old daughter Stella — the actress is also a mom to kids Sienna and Eli.

Fans didn't take long to react. Shooting right up to the top of the comments was a fan slamming the media presence. "Let this poor lady have a holiday! Photoing someone on a beach like this is male gynecologist level of creepiness!" they said, with over 400 others agreeing. Echoing the thought, another wrote: "Wow honestly why would anyone want to be famous? You never get a shred of privacy," with a third deeming the photos "intrusive."

Fans also commented on Ellen Pompeo herself. "She looks lovely and natural. Refreshing to see someone without all the Botox and fillers," one said. The A-lister actress is best known for her 2005-commenced role on medical drama series Grey's Anatomy. She also featured in Leonardo DiCaprio's Catch Me If You Can movie and on NYC-set sitcom Friends. In her Instagram bio, Ellen jokingly introduces herself as "not a real doctor, but a really good fake one".

In June, Ellen Pompeo shared the above photo as she and Grey's Anatomy costar Katherine Heigl jointly fronted Variety. Fans even got the two interviewing each other as part of the magazine's Actors on Actors series.
