Simone looked radiant as she soaked up the sun, lying on a blue towel on the grass while doing a crossword. Shielding herself from the sun with stylish sunglasses, Simone also enjoyed the company of her adorable Spaniel. In high spirits, she cooled off with a swim in a lake, her pet pooch accompanying her for the refreshing dip.

Simone, who gained fame in 2022 as the fierce Kate Sharma in Netflix's hit period drama "Bridgerton," has opened up about her experiences as an actress of Indian heritage.

Appearing on the cover of the May issue of Vogue India, Simone shared her thoughts on representing her community. When asked if she felt pressure to represent Indians, she candidly replied: "Not really, because I'm an actor. I'm not traveling far and wide to India to save the country."
She acknowledged the weight of India's history but emphasized her role as an actress rather than a savior.
Joy Of Representation

Simone expressed the profound joy she feels when fellow brown women tell her how much it means to see themselves represented on screen.
"Representing Indian women has been such a joy. Ninety-nine percent of the people who recognize me and come up to me are women of color, and that's the best feeling because they're so excited for me," she said.
"They'll hug me and tell me how cool it is to see brown women on-screen. It makes me feel safe and seen, and even though I may be on a street in London, I suddenly don't feel like I'm part of a minority community," Simone continued. "I know that there can be pressure on women who are representing their communities in the arts. Maybe one day I will do a project where it's like, 'I need to get this right.' But for now, I'm able to just feel happy and celebrate it."
