DaBaby had a very solid year for himself in 2020 as he capitalized on his breakout 2020. He had a chart-topping single in "Rockstar" featuring Roddy Ricch and also reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with his third studio album, "Blame It On Baby."
Now, he is currently trending on social media after someone's grandma went viral for giving him and other rappers low ratings based on their appearances. Here, Baby jokingly expressed disappointment for the number he was given.
Baby Was Rated A One Out Of 10
This grandma went through several rappers and almost gave all of them low ratings, except for Snoop Dogg, who she was really impressed by. For DaBaby, she gave him a disappointing one out of 10. Other rappers who didn't get any praise from this grandma were Rod Wave, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby. DaBaby soon commented under Snoop Dogg's Instagram post and said "Damn gma. Yeen got no love for baby?" The likes on this comment soon poured in from other users.
DaBaby Has Four Grammy Nominations This Weekend
Baby may be having a very great weekend coming up as well, though. He is nominated for four Grammy awards as the awards show takes place in Los Angeles on March 14. The categories he is nominated for are Best Rap Song, Best Record, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap/Sun Performance. All are for his Rockstar single except for Best Rap Performance, as his 2019 "BOP" single holds that nomination. Many believe that the Charlotte rapper can take at least one award home.
DaBaby Has Released Four Total Projects Since 2019
DaBaby has shown impressive consistency as an artist over the last two years that he's been a star as well. He's put out four albums in total which dates back to Spring 2019. His debut studio album, "Baby On Baby," was led by the breakout hit single, "Suge." That album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. "Kirk" was out in the fall as that reached No. 1 and so did "Blame It On Baby" in April 2020. The deluxe edition was then released close to the summertime.
DaBaby Still Struggles With Legal Woes
DaBaby is a superstar for sure but struggles to stay out of trouble as well. The latest incident involves him being sued by a homeowner, Gary Pagar, in Los Angeles for $117,000. This is after he and his crew reportedly assaulted him at his Runyan Canyon property in Los Angeles in December. DaBaby reportedly broke COVID-19 capacity protocols and then, all hell broke loose. 40 people were seen instead of the required nine. One of the men pushed Pagar to the ground and Baby supposedly came and threatened to punch him. He also claimed that Baby "sucker punched" him and knocked a tooth out,
