Ariel Winter Shamed In Skimpy Swimsuit Deemed Wrong 'For Her Figure'

Ariel Winter looked confident and stylish as she stripped to a barely-there, banded swimsuit for some pool party action back in 2016, but photos of the actress enjoying her day out only sparked shaming. Showing off her curves ahead of her 2019 weight loss, Ariel wowed in a string-banded green swimsuit, going cheeky in her skimpy swimwear and turning heads with her revealing display. Flashing her cleavage as she arrived at the party with a pair of Daisy Dukes thrown on top, the Modern Family star quickly lost her shorts for a head-turning view of her curves, something that proved ill-received by The Daily Mail's viewers.

Strutting around in pointed-toe heels as she arrived already in her swimwear, Ariel flew the flag for summer babe style in a minuscule pair of denim cutoffs that displayed her shapely legs. Quickly getting into pool party mode, the 26-year-old showed off her hourglass curves in her busty bathing suit, one boasting a low neckline and tons of chest and side bands covering cut-outs.

Rocking dark shades and her luscious locks worn down, Ariel afforded a front view of her outfit as she arrived, but things were about to turn cheeky. In a rearview snap, the sitcom star flashed her backside while showing off her swimsuit body, letting loose poolside as she clutched a red purse and carried around her high heels.

At the time of the photos, Ariel Winter was 18 years old. Fans didn't hold back. "This is just tragic" was the leading comment as replies poured into The Daily Mail's report. "Poor girl just doesn't know how to dress for her figure," another wrote, body-shaming the actress. "I just don't understand her appeal. She's good in Modern Family as an actress but all this overexposure at 18 is just tacky" was yet another negative reply.

In 2020 after Modern Family ended, Ariel Winter opened up on the years of body-shaming she'd endured while growing up on TV. Following a reported 30-pound weight loss after switching her antidepressant medication, she told Teen Vogue:

“People on the internet really suck. It bothered me for so many years — I mean, it still does. It never goes away. When someone calls you a ‘fat sl*t,’ you’re not feeling happy about it."

Ariel continued: "It doesn’t matter what you look like now, it doesn’t matter what you looked like then. You’re still going to read that and be like, ‘Oh, that sucks.’” In her reveal, the actress also shared how regular therapy has helped her.
