Christina Haack Breaks Silence Over A Week After Divorce Filing: 'This One Is Personal'

Christina Hall (née Haack) is not about to sacrifice her reputation and hard work for cheap publicity stunts amid the divorce process!

The "Flip or Flop" star took to social media for the first time to express her decision to fiercely protect her and the children's interests as she and her estranged husband filed for divorce.

Christina Haack and Josh Hall were married for nearly three years, but they have cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.

The 41-year-old converted her Instagram story to her personal diary as her divorce from Josh rages on. In the first slide, the HGTV star wrote:

"Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of "how I was blind-sided and how I'm working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch"... Meanwhile I'm over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be."

In the next slide, Christina declared that she has worked hard to build her life for herself and her children, adding a warning that "anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed." Christina then remarked:

"An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you- but "still i rise…" For those that aren't aware…divorces do not happen overnight…& there is always a breaking point. This one is personal……"

The "Flip or Flop" star resurfaced in the news earlier this month when her husband reportedly filed to dissolve their marriage on Tuesday, July 16, nearly three years after exchanging their vows.

The Blast reported that Josh filed the dissolution request at an Orange County court in California and referenced July 8 as the official date of their separation.

The 3-year-long marriage did not feature a prenuptial agreement, which means the couple may now have issues sorting out their assets. Josh already made a spousal support request from Christina, along with his divorce filing.

The real estate professional also demanded the court to terminate Christina's right to alimony which means while he wants to receive spousal support from her, he has no intentions togive her any financial aid.

Josh also has his eyes set on Christina's reality TV income. He requested the court grant him all the rights to any HGTV and/or Discovery Network shows or specials produced during his marriage to the reality star. This clause also affects their upcoming 2025 show.

The 43-year-old petitioned the court to divide the individual assets they owned before marriage. 

Christina and Josh did not share any children together despite being parents to 3 children from Christina's previous marriages, which means child custody or child support hassles are off the table between the estranged couple.

Unfortunately, sources close to the couple have confirmed that things may likely get bitter between the couple, and Christina's very recent reaction suggests that she is prepared for confrontation.

Christina had a whirlwind experience during her first divorce from her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa as they worked on a settlement where Moussa fought to keep his $1m yacht.

El Moussa purchased the 2015 Sea Ray Sundancer 510 yacht for over a million dollars in 2015, but Christina wanted to sell off the beauty and split the profit during their divorce.

Their divorce was a long one, and El Moussa requested spousal support in his filing, but Christina countered his demands and petitioned the court to terminate his rights to alimony but grant his ex-partner's own.

Christina's body language at the start of their marriage did not indicate that she planned for divorce.

If anything, Christina was over the moon about her low-key wedding to the real estate agent, which she disclosed to her friend, James, on her show "Christina on the Coast" back in December 2022.

"There's something I have to tell you. We just did it low-key, and we're gonna do a ceremony later." declared the star as she explained that they held a secret court ceremony for privacy's sake.

She then reflected on her past marriages and how Josh must be her last shot at happiness, referencing the popular phrase, "This is it. The third time's a charm."

Christina and Josh later held a private ceremony with their friends and families at Merriman's Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii, a year after she successfully settled her second divorce from Ant Anstead.

The Blast reported that Josh was well aware of the shaky nature of his marriage, but he did not foresee things going downhill in this manner as he was seriously committed to the HGTV star, and all aspects of his romantic and professional lives revolved around her.

Josh was reportedly committed to her kids as well and he feels like he has lost his whole purpose, including the life he and Christina built and grew together as a couple.

During their 3-year union, the couple purchased their dream home in Newport Beach and worked on various TV projects.

Christina has also stopped speaking to Josh directly and only communicates through her attorney, which prompted Josh to hire an attorney.

The 43-year-old is reportedly now spending more time in Nashville, hitting the gym and attending church amid his marital troubles. He has also been feelingpositive about the whole thing and wishes Christina and the kids nothing but the best.
