Ryan Reynolds is set to return as Deadpool in the upcoming MCU film "Deadpool & Wolverine," where he will be joined by Hugh Jackman, reprising his iconic role as Wolverine.

The two co-stars and best friends attended the world premiere earlier this week, where they spoke to the press, greeted fans, and shared insights on what viewers can expect from the film.

TikTok sensation and one of Ryan Reynolds' biggest fans, Gangster Granny, was also in attendance. In a hilarious mix-up, she accidentally asked Hugh Jackman out on a date instead of the "Fall Guy" actor.

Granny Hilariously Mistakes Hugh Jackman For Ryan Reynolds

While at the world premiere of "Deadpool & Wolverine," TikTok sensations Ross Smith and Gangster Granny chatted with some of the film's stars, but there was one actor who particularly caught Granny's eye. The twist? She hilariously mistook him for someone else.

As Hugh Jackman approaches, Granny greets him by saying, "Hi, Ryan," to which Ross immediately interjects, "No, that's Hugh."

With a smile plastered across his face, Jackman told Granny that he isn't Ryan, "but I know Ryan. Do you want me to give him a message?"

Ross then revealed that Granny wanted "to invite him on a date, but she went to the wrong guy."

As expected, fans have "sky-high" expectations regarding the long-awaited, highly-anticipated MCU film, something that both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have acknowledged.

“I think both of us had such high expectations for the movie,” Jackman told Deadline. “So, yeah there’s a risk because we wanted this to exceed those expectations, and both of these characters mean so much to us. Our friendship is one of the most important things in my life. So, we wanted to be as great as we could be, and thankfully for me, it’s exceeded every one.”

Reynolds chimed in, “Those same tenants could be broadly applied to the audiences of these movies. I mean, their expectations are sky-high. And you can’t just meet them, you have to exceed them, not just in one sequence or broadly, in every moment of the movie."

Jackkman later acknowledged the "Great writing, great acting, great partner, great director" involved with the film, telling Entertainment Tonight that he "just had a feeling in my gut that I had to do this movie."

"Deadpool & Wolverine" will hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
