Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney is flaunting her juicy tomatoes – but not without a warning. The 25-year-old vault queen is back on the 'Gram following having been hospitalized with kidney stones, and it looks like the London 2012 Olympics face is focusing on one particular food today. Posting to her Glohé wellness account on Wednesday, McKayla posted tons of photos showing tomatoes both raw and in food, with the post seeing the brunette reveal her own views, also educating fans. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photos. McKayla, herself admitting to an unhealthy Diet Coke addiction during her competing days, is now vegan, something she mentioned in her post as she showcased tomatoes all cute in boxes, plus spread food displays with the fruit, also including the Instagram-popular pizza in two photos – tomatoes had been used to make them.

With an Italian vibe as the post opened with a pair of hands chopping herbs to make tomato pizza sauce, the gymnast then took to her caption to "get right into it."

Announcing that she'd be covering foods that can cause acne, Maroney stated: "I really had no idea tomatoes caused acne until 4 years ago when I went raw vegan. (Mistake for me) It ruined my skin."

"I was eating that exact box of baby organic cherry tomatoes everyday in the last picture?

I thought I was being healthy, but really I was giving myself cystic acne, and leaky gut," she added, although sandwiched between the two statements was informative stuff on tomatoes being a "Nightshade" vegetable – even though they're classed as fruit.

While celebrities swear by tomatoes, and McKayla even included a shot of GOOP founder Gwyneth Paltrow in a "don't listen to celebrities" shot, the gymnast herself ain't keen.

"Once I found out that tomatoes were problematic for more than just me, I stopped eating them all together and my skin started to clear up, and my leaky gut was able to slowly start healing," she wrote. Maroney then encouraged readers to make informed decisions about their nutrition and research up. See her bikini body below!

Maroney, who was recently signed to United Talent Agency, seems to know a thing or two about social media engagement. The gymnast closed by writing: "Comment [pizza emoji] if pizza breaks your skin out!"

Fans have bee replying. While one said that tomatoes don't affect their skin, but they end up bloated after eating them, another stated that pizza "irritates my skin." Maroney has, herself, revealed that her own mother advised she put toothpaste on her troubled skin.
