Kate Upton was delivering her signauture bombshell vibes as she struck oceanfront poses for her Sports Illustrated Swim shoot back in 2017, but not without causing some drama. Sizzling by lapping waves as the magazine flew her out to Aruba, Kate dropped jaws with her curves during her Caribbean shoot, stripping down to a plunging swimsuit and even hiking it up. While many gushed over the blonde’s sensational figure, some wondered if Kate was even comfortable. When The Daily Mail published the photos, popular comments dubbed the whole thing “awkward,” with one user straight-up saying that Kate looked “uncomfortable.”

Kate Upton Stuns In Her Plunging Caribbean Swimsuit

Scroll for the photos. Rocking a one-shouldered swimsuit in silver, Kate bent one leg as she posed on golden sands and with the ocean behind her. Reminding everyone why SI Swim keeps inviting her back, the busty beauty modeled a textured, slightly shiny bathing suit that clung to her every curve, highlighting her eye-popping cleavage via a low-cut neckline while accentuating her waistline as she swung a hip.

Using her hands to hike up her swimsuit as she went high cut, Kate flashed her shapely legs while delivering her ultimate beach babe vibe. Letting her light locks blow around in the ocean breeze, the wife to former MLB player Justin Verlander closed her eyes in one photo, although most showed the stunner showing off her features as she struck a confident gaze. Kate, who made her SI Swim debut in 2011, had once again fronted the magazine just one year prior to the 2017 shoot. She’s since made headlines for returning for the magazine’s 60th anniversary celebrations, held this May.

Over 500 users liked a comment asking: “What is she doing?!?! Front and back wedgie. So unattractive and, I’m guessing, painful.” Also gaining likes was a fan stating: “She looks uncomfortable.” Meanwhile, a third even claimed that the silver swimsuit wasn’t “flattering.” Kate Upton also failed to impress a fan who wrote: “The whole pull your bathing suit upwards and give yourself frontal wedgie pose just looks awkward.”

Chances are, Kate doesn’t pay attention to the haters. In fact, 2024 sees her more popular than ever, and nobody’s forgotten her 60th anniversary SI Swim cover.
