Jax Taylor Says He Is Family Focused, Not Dating Amid Brittany Cartwright Split

Jax Taylor is making it clear that his primary focus is on family and not on dating following his recent split from Brittany Cartwright.

The couple, who had been together for almost a decade, faced a tumultuous breakup that has sparked various speculations and public interest.

Before their breakup, signs of trouble appeared, such as Cartwright removing Taylor's last name from her Instagram bio and rumors about the "Vanderpump Rules" star's poor bedroom performance contributing to their separation.

Despite the chatter, Jax Taylor remains steadfast in his commitment to his family, prioritizing their well-being over diving into the dating scene.

The reality TV star was recently asked about his relationship status after he was spotted at LAX on Monday. Taylor emphasized that dating was not a priority for him, revealing that his priorities lay with his loved ones, especially after weeks on the road for work. 

This seemingly put dating on hold, but the future with his estranged wife remains uncertain. While "The Valley" star admitted to navigating their post-separation phase, he did not rule out the possibility of getting back together. 

However, when pressed about reconciliation, he remained tight-lipped, repeatedly saying, "I don't know," leaving the door open for a potential rekindling of their romance.

At the same time, TMZ asked the TV personality about rumors swirling around him and model Paige Woolen. Maintaining his previous stance, he firmly denied any romantic involvement, insisting, "We are cool."

Despite the attention he receives from women at work events, Taylor noted that he chose to view it as enthusiasm from fans. 

Taylor's hope for reconciliation stands in stark contrast to the actions of his former partner. In March, The Blast reported that Cartwright removed the 45-year-old's legal last name, Cauchi, from her Instagram bio, signaling a significant shift in their relationship status.

Originally, her bio read, "Brittany Cartwright Cauchi," but it changed to "Brittany Cartwright." She highlighted her Kentucky origins with the phrase, "Just a Kentucky girl livin in a beautiful world."

Cartwright also briefly mentioned her son with Taylor, her "When Reality Hits" podcast, and her reality TV show, The Valley. These updates suggested that Cartwright was focusing on her roots and career.

It is worth noting that prior to Taylor's recent statements, reconciliation between the former couple seemed unlikely. The model claimed that he and Cartwright had moved back in together after she initially moved out. 

However, a source close to the couple revealed that they are still living apart, with the mother-of-one relocating to a new home after her short-term lease expired.

The insider contradicted Taylor's statements, emphasizing that the couple is "not on a path to reconciliation." They also mentioned that Cartwright's visit to their shared home was solely to pack her belongings before moving to her new rental.

A month after Cartwright removed her former beau's last name from her Instagram bio, she revealed intimate details about their bedroom struggles, per The Blast.

During an episode of her Bravo show "The Valley," Cartwright candidly highlighted the significant decline in their once passionate connection. Reflecting on the early days of their relationship, the mother-of-one lamented the drastic change, stating:

"When Jax and I first met it was awesome. We were having sex all the time. 24/7. I mean, we didn't miss a day. And then it has just changed dramatically. I'm talking, like, twice in the past year. You know the old Westerns when the tumbleweed rolls around? That's our sex life. I am the old tumbleweed."

Taylor also acknowledged his role in the diminishing spark between them, confessing, "I think it's safe to say that the romantic spark is just not there right now."

The actor held himself accountable, adding, "I will take blame, yeah. I let that spark fizzle. It's just not fair to either one of us. Especially it's not fair to my wife. She deserves to have a man be loving to her."

Apart from their intimacy issues, the 35-year-old also disclosed the moment that spelled the end of their relationship. 

In a candid conversation with Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live," Cartwright claimed that her decision to spend an evening with her friend and co-star, Kristen Doute, sparked Taylor's anger.

The reality TV star shared, "We just had a horrible fight and it was like a veil was lifted, and I noticed everything wrong. You know they always say a woman can hit her breaking point, and it's hard to come back from that."

She noted that after that confrontation, their relationship spiraled into a cycle of toxicity as everything became a trigger for conflict.

As the former couple navigate separate paths and address their challenges, the future of their once passionate relationship remains uncertain.
