Gymnast McKayla Maroney has been missing in action from social media after returning home following being hospitalized. The 25-year-old Olympian, who is usually very active on her Instagram, has left fans in the dust since dropping her last post nearly one week ago. The flexible fox manages not one, but TWO Instagram profiles and usually delights fans with numerous thirst traps throughout the week but she's gone radio silent for over four days now.
McKayla Maroney rushed to an emergency room on Thursday, February 25 after experiencing "severe pain."
Sharing a picture from inside the Orange County, CA ER, McKayla Maroney was seen wearing her patient gown while curled up in a hospital bed. See the photo here. Revealing she had been throwing up days prior, the gymnast said after several tests and a CT scan that doctors were able to figure out the reason behind her agony.
"Had to come to the ER at 3am because pain kept getting worse, and I couldnt' stop throwing up," she told her followers. Keep scrolling to find out the diagnosis.
"Just got by CT Scan back," the Olympian added, before revealing, "I have a few kidney stones." Hours later, McKayla Maroney would share her very last post while recovering over the weekend. Taking to her Instagram Story on Friday, February 26, the former "Final Five" team member slurped up a smoothie because it was "literally the only thing I can even think of stomaching."
Posting a shot of her dinner, McKayla Maroney gave her followers an update while announcing she was home and that was the last her fans have heard from her. Keep scrolling for her health update!
Clearly happy to be home, McKayla Maroney said the staff in the Southern California facility "treated me wonderful, but unfortunately not much has changed." She added that at least she was "on pain management" which is giving her some relief.
Interestingly enough, despite feeling sick and throwing up all week, McKayla Maroney managed to post a few thirst traps before rushing to the hospital. Hours prior to her ER visit, the gymnast was all smiles while announcing a HUGE career move.
