Ex-President Donald Trump Allegedly Shot At During A Rally, Seemingly Suffers Injury To The Ear

Donald Trump, the former president of the United States and the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, was reportedly shot at during a rally.
In videos shared from the event, the billionaire politician could be seen ducking as what was assumed to be gunshots were fired. Secret service could also be seen rushing to the ex-president's side and telling him to get down.
This shocking incident comes a few weeks after Donald Trump's debate with President Joe Biden and just a few months before the 2024 presidential election.

According to videos shared from the incident, Trump might have been hit in his right ear, as he could be seen bleeding from the alleged gunshot.
A photo shared by the ex-president's son shows him with his hands up in the air, defiantly, while bleeding from his ear, with secret service agents holding him.

The video of the incident has also gone viral online, with many branding it an "attempted assassination"; however, nothing has been confirmed.
Trump's campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, released a statement after the incident, noting that the ex-president is doing fine.
"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” Cheung said, per Fox8. “He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”
Elon Musk And Many Others Show Support For Donald Trump After Gunshot Incident
The shooting incident has sent social media into disarray, with many vocally expressing support for Trump and condemning the act.
Billionaire Elon Musk is one such person. He emphasized his support of Trump by wishing him a "rapid recovery" and stating that he "fully endorses" the embattled politician.
In another tweet, Musk wrote, "Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt."
MAGA supporters have also gotten very vocal online, expressing support for Trump.
One person wrote under Donald Jr.'s tweet, "I proudly endorse your dad. Let’s get him elected."
Another said, "I can't imagine if that was my dad. God bless you and your family."
A third person noted, "This man put it all on the line and America stands with him."
Politicians React To The Shooting Incident At The Rally
Reactions from politicians on the right and left have come in due to the seriousness of the incident.
Trump's former Vice President, Mike Pence, released a statement urging Americans to join in and pray for the former president.
He said, "Karen and I are praying for President Trump and urge every American to join us."
House Speaker Mike Johnson reacted to the incident, writing on X, "Praying for President Trump."
House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries also shared his thoughts on the incident. He said, "My thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump. I am thankful for the decisive law enforcement response. America is a democracy. Political violence of any kind is never acceptable."
Senator Mitch McConnell thanked the Secret Service, writing, "Tonight, all Americans are grateful that President Trump appears to be fine after a despicable attack on a peaceful rally. Violence has no place in our politics. We appreciate the swift work of the Secret Service and other law enforcement."
Donald Trump Is Caught In Several Legal Battles
Besides the shocking shooting incident, Trump has been caught up in multiple legal battles that have seen him be found guilty of fraud and various other crimes.
Most recently, the former president was found guilty of 34 counts felony counts for falsifying business records to hide money paid to former porn star Stormy Daniels.
Following the guilty verdict, Trump was scheduled to be sentenced in July; however, his sentencing was postponed to September after his legal team asked for a delay due to the Supreme Court's ruling on the immunity of a president.
Donald Trump Said America Has Gone To Hell
The billionaire mogul condemned the jury's verdict after he was found guilty, claiming that it was a "rigged decision" and that the "whole country has gone to hell."
"Our whole country is being rigged right now," Trump said outside the courtroom. "This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound, to hurt an opponent. A political opponent. And I think it's just a disgrace, and we'll keep fighting, we'll fight till the end, and we'll win because our country has gone to hell. We don't have the same country anymore, we have a divided mess ."
He continued, "We are a nation in decline, serious decline of people pouring into our country right now. From prisons and from mental institutions. Terrorists and they're taking over our country. We have a country that's in big trouble, but this was a rigged decision right from day one, with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case. Never!"
Trump concluded his statement: "We will fight for our constitution. This is far from over. Thank you very much."
