Bethenny Frankel recently sparked controversy for her TikTok comments about the Hamptons after saying it's diverse and not just for the wealthy.
Critics, including Ana Navarro, labeled the former reality TV star's remarks as "tone deaf" and "out of touch."
This comes after she faced backlash for flaunting a new car on Instagram and for gifting a T.J. Maxx cashier a $70 makeup palette, suggesting she couldn't afford it.
Bethenny Frankel Faces Backlash Over Comments On Diversity In The Hamptons
Frankel recently found herself in controversy after sharing her views on the Hamptons in a TikTok video, claiming the Long Island community is not only for "rich people" but also a diverse locale.
"Hamptons is an amazing place, there's all kinds of people here, it's not only rich people," Frankel said, per the Daily Mail. "There is a big Latin community, there is an African American community here on the beach. Beautiful houses. I had a house there one summer."
However, her comments quickly drew backlash, with "The View's" Ana Navarro leading the criticism. Navarro responded, "News flash: White people are not the only ones capable of having money. There are rich Black people and rich 'Latins.'"
One follower pointed out, "I guess us Asians and South Asians don't get to be Hamptons rich. Meanwhile, we are the highest earners in the country, but what do I know?"
Another critic said, "Bethenny needs to seriously put her phone down for a long time. She needs to stop."

The controversy comes just two weeks after Frankel drew criticism for flaunting a luxury car on Instagram.
Posing beside a new blue Ford Bronco while wearing a matching blue maxi dress, the Skinny Girl mogul captioned the photo, "When you buy a car to match your outfit…"
Frankel wore a strapless baby blue knit maxi dress, with her makeup perfectly done and her long, dark hair styled in loose waves. She accessorized with diamond solitaire earrings, a diamond necklace, and several jeweled bracelets.
Her outfit was completed with brown high-heel mules and a wicker purse trimmed with brown leather. The next two photos featured the 53-year-old standing beside the new baby blue Ford Bronco.
Bethenny Frankel Faced Backlash For Flaunting Her Wealth
Fans quickly called out Frankel's post in which she flaunted her wealth, with one asking, "People can't even afford groceries right now, and you're posting this?"
Another criticized, "So tone deaf do [you] really need to show off [you're] in the Hamptons & got a new car?"
"Wow, that's so relatable," a third person added sarcastically.
One upset follower compared Frankel's behavior to that of the Kardashian/Jenner family, whom Frankel has previously criticized.
"So tone deaf. Do you really need to show off that you're in the Hamptons and got a new car?" the commenter asked.
"Like [you're] acting like Scott Disick. I thought [you] were one for the people and helping them now [you] show off!? Why not just make a private page for our rich stuck-up friends that [you] follow [?] This isn't a good look for the public page," the fan continued.
Bethenny Frankel Criticized for 'Tone Deaf' Comments After Gifting Makeup To T.J. Maxx Employees
In September 2023, the former Real Housewives of New York faced backlash for a TikTok video in which she gave away "leftover makeup" to T.J. Maxx employees.
In the video, she explained that she wanted to give the makeup to the employees who had been complimentary about her purchases, stating, "So I wanted to bring them some of the leftover makeup that I just tried, opened up, and put in a giveaway pile. It's all brand new."
However, when a fan questioned why the employee couldn't buy the $70 makeup palette, Frankel replied, "Because she is a cashier at TJ Maxx."
This comment sparked backlash, with many calling it "tone deaf" and "out of touch." One user wrote, "That's ignorant – a cashier at TJ Maxx can afford it if they save up. Comes across as entitled and rude."
Another added, "Bethenny, tone deaf. Stop it!"
Bethenny Frankel Felt Gutted By Her Ex-Fiancé's Romance With Aurora Culpo
Frankel recently admitted that hearing about her former fiancé, Paul Bernon, and model Aurora Culpo's romance was "gutting" and "brutal."
"Hearing about your ex-fiancé committing to another woman shortly thereafter on their first date, and then being inside their relationship hearing about their sex and their gifts and meeting each other's kids and the level of commitment," she said.
The 53-year-old shared that it was especially painful for her to see Bernon and Culpo become "committed" to each other" just six weeks after they started dating.
Frankel, who had been with Bernon for six years, admitted that the situation felt "embarrassing" and "rough" for her, as she was portrayed as a "jilted ex" replaced by a younger woman.
Bernon and Culpo have now broken up after just two months of dating.
